I've left three comments on the October Soapbox. None of them stayed. So I'll put it here.

I just suggested a comment on how NAA has fared through this rough year, and the outlook for 2022. Sort of a year end statement. I wished Sandy and the NAA family a good holiday and New Year.

Bearcatter- The soapbox is not about you. When Sandy has something to say he will say it.

It's not about me, it's about us. Why is it totally dead?
He has skipped Soapboxes before, putting up the "Gone Fishing" sign.
There is a lot going on. Politics, material shortages, supply chain, people out from the virus, other labor shortage, inflation. Every business has most or all of these issues. Is NAA coping well? Are NAA's vendors doing well? Does 2022 look positive? We honestly don't know, do we? A brief word from the Big Guy would be reassuring. For now, I'm glad I'm well stocked on parts.... :(

As far as the business is concerned, Sandy's last post lost a few customers. I'm not surprised he's staying low, that's what I would do in his position. Maybe when the political climate eases up he'll return.

The September Soapbox upset a few. It's gone, and October made amends. I had no problem with anything, I mean, we're so worried about the Second Amendment and some ignore the First? That's wrong. I'd just like to see a "Gone Fishing" sign, or maybe "Gone Skiing" since it's wintertime, LOL. Seeing absolutely nothing makes for some concern. I know companies bigger than NAA are having tough times.

Sandy posted it this way in November 2018

Maybe there is no Soapbox due to Covid.
That seems to be the reason for everything
under the Sun these days.

Think about it. How many times have you been
given that as the reason for a multitude of things
as of late?

For the record I ain?t upset. Heck life is good.

Let's just move on.

If he wants to put up a Soapbox, he will.
If he wants to kill this forum, he has the right to do it.
He is not too mad. We know that because we are still here.
Let's be thankful for that.

Thank You Sandy.

Maybe it could be .......................... If Sandy fears the Corona Virus the way he stated then most likely he is implementing certain practices at the plant to "protect his workers." If this be the case, along with supply line problems, inflation and the like he may very likely be having it a tad rough on the business side keeping everything up to speed. Maybe, just maybe. One person tests positive; he must quarantine for 14 days. Then after tracing his whereabouts through the day it is found that he visited the lunchroom exposing six other guys as they ate lunch; ----------------> Those six then went back to their stations and exposed all in their line during the day. How many lines and how many workers are gone for 14 days? Do they have enough back up to pick up the slack? Not likely and if so, not in an effective way.

Maybe ............... just maybe...........................  :-\

Finally someone can see my point. I'm not being ugly, just realistic.

Your comments are my hopefully unfounded fears. I never see any new NAAs on the gun dealer websites. I don't count GunBroker, too iffy. We never hear anything about availability or production when members post about wanting this or that model mini. Jessica used to sometimes pop in on those. No Soapbox just raises my curiosity. It's not good business PR to even hint at any problems, even though every company certainly has some right now.
I love NAA products and CS. I can agree with your possibilities. I feel sure that each production station requires a particular skill and knowledge. If one or two of those workers are out, do they move other less experienced people around?  One employee doing three stations?  I can picture the production floor way below capacity, maybe supply issues too, as you said.

I don't doubt Guardians are not even in the works right now, since demand has seldom been much higher than justifying production.
