Hey guys...new here! Just purchased my first NAA .22 mini yesterday...question about polishing...

Will a dremel and polishing compound bring out the shine? Do I need to take off the grips? All metal or just certain parts. Just looking for advice from folks who have done it. Thanks in advance for any input. Will provide before and after pics when done.

Most folks do it by hand I think............  I have not done one, so I am not sure,,,,,,,,, I would think a dremel would be a bit aggressive......

I wouldnt recommend using a dremel, it leaves polish lines and is most likely a very inconsistant finish... you would be better off bu hand where you can make long strokes going the full lenght of the gun, or if you access to a buffing wheel, there are a number of success stories using them..

you will need to take the grips off, but, be carefull not to loose the pin behind the grips

Remove the grips and cylinder. Tape 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper to a piece of glass. Move gun in a straight line on the paper. Then, switch grits to 1000, then 2000.

If you aren't careful you will get grit in the action doing this, possibly ruining your gun.

I haven't done this, but experience with a Dremel follows Madhat...it will be inconsistent and worse than no polish.  For cleaning the action if you get grit in it... how about a high frequency vibrating jewelry cleaner??  Buffing wheel may round some corners if you're not really careful.  ???

M.A.A.S. metal polish is the best, if you can find it. I did both of mine with it by hand, mirror finish.
