Anybody know why mens hats went out of fashion ?  

Did you (or anybody else here) catch the prequel series to Battlestar Galacitica, called Caprica? They made this world a high-tech spaceship world, but the styles of everyday things were reminiscent of the 40's and 50's. Men wore suits and hats and they drove 40's and 50's style cars. It was great! And it gave the series a very cool, almost regal, feel.

We've move into a world of convenience. Hats aren't convenient, unless they are baseball caps turned backwards. Gone are the suits and fancy shoes and what we have now are people who can't even bother to pull their pants up. It's a T-shirt and jeans world now, for better or worse.

  So much more for the worse I'm afraid D .   everyone , at least most , have lost their individualities except craftsmen like the Kid of course . Can't tell one car from another at least I can't , just imagine if the old styles were to come back , someday maybe the manufacturers will take a chance and revert back to squares and fins .
