Half moon for a Sheriff's?

I tried out a Sheriff's model today. I really like it.
The only thing holding me up on it is the front sight. The post hangs on everything!

Anyone else seem to have this problem?

I think the half-moon sights that come on others would be too low.
Maybe I could engineer a ramp front sight...

Perhaps you could taper it somewhat to stop the hanging up. I have a Sheriff, but do not carry it. If Louie is around, he prefers the Sheriff for his carry gun. I know he will share his thoughts, which are worth listening to.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

I am guessing that you just tried sticking the Sheriff in your pocket without a holster. If that is the case a good pocket holster could eliminate the problem. I do not have a Sheriff, but I do have Sidewinder and a 3" Earl with post sights. When I carry those guns in a pocket holster I have never felt that they were more prone to hanging on stuff than my other Minis.

I believe a small stainless ramp would be the best option.
A very tiny dovetail, similar to what is on the black widow would be ideal, but perhaps a bit more "to scale" to make it look like it fits.

I have a sheriff on order and had a little trouble finding a pocket holster for it.Go to www.concealmentspecialists.com they make one for the sheriff however they don't have it on their website yet .You will have to contact them and specify that you want the sheriff model.
