In Search Of a .17 cal NAA.  ;D

Scored a thousand #11 Remington Caps yesterday.  Got a pound of Bullseye.  Just need some Crisco. ::)

T&C Bore Butter comes cleaner and once your piece is "seasoned," reduces cleaning time.

Of course, Crisco works...

Pound of Bullseye? Ahem. That's not suggested for your companion, sir.

Uncle_Lee

Crisco works good unless it is a hot day, then the Crisco tends to get runny.
Bore Butter stays firm even on the hottest days in a blued cylinder.

Hey gentlemen I'm dumber than rocks regarding cap & ball but is the butter bore for holding the caps in place or what ? ???
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

You know more than you're letting on, sir. :)

Bore butter is this great stuff to be on metal involved with burning black powder. It works with smokeless and you can season your shotgun bore with it, too.

I like how when I use T&C BB, a Hoppe's Bore Snake "pull through" cleans my NAA cap and ball barrel immaculately in less than 3 passes in under 30 seconds.

You can even quit using so much once the metal surfaces are "seasoned."

As far a where to use it, I seal the ends of the chambers in a cap and ball with it to eliminate any chance of chain fire all together. You could swab the bore with it, but the fire from the chambers spread it down just fine.
