Hi all,
I thought I'd post a pic of my in progress NAA .22 mag with a 1 & 5/8 bbl. I replaced the small grips with a pair of Boot grips then inset a .6 gram gold nugget I found and had a friend do a little engraving on the back strap. I'm a gold prospector and find my .22 mag is just the thing to carry when I don't bring something bigger! Hope you enjoy it! I may not be done customizing yet, I have a few more ideas!

Welcome to the forum.
Nicely done with the engraving.  Gold nugget is way cool. Engraving is much like tattooing in that it's either just right ... or it's way wrong.  I think that you got it just right.  8)

First, WELCOME!

I really like the engraving, but it needs more. The nugget is a very nice touch, especially considering you found it.

Where can we buy one?

If your friend is interested, post some contact info, or forward inquiries to him/her. There may well be some on here who would be interested in having their minis adorned. A few more photos would help, but from the one shown, I may be interested in contacting the engraver.

The "veins of gold" running through the turquoise really sets off the scales and the grips. The matching pattern on the metal work is (to me) quite a unique touch. I am in awe. I would really like to see these pieces in person. May I ask what state you are in? If you do not wish to divulge it in open forum, would you send me a PM?

Perhaps Sandy could have a run of current models with unique adornments.  No re-tooling necessary.

He would just need an engraver and perhaps spend a few bucks on designs.

I would think he could pre-sell before he starts and no one would mind if it took awhile to fill the order.

I am looking at ordering a Wilson Pinnacle and the wait time is estimated at 18 months to two years!

Since you liked the Turquoise set here is my other set. This one has mammoth ivory on both the mag and the knife. The sheaths are both inlayed with alligator. I am a custom knife maker. So I did all the work you see. Knives, holsters, engraving, and the presentation boxes. I a, also a very avid gun collector.

Would you consider selling the mammoth ivory set?  PM me if you are interested. 8)

Really top shelf work. Was the turquoise difficult to work with?  How much time invested in each set?  Again, really great work you've done.

I'm debating turning a mini over to my gifted and talented wife to see what she can do
