If you're on Medicare, you know what I mean when I say the donut hole is KILLING me.

As a result, I'm planning to sell these two black powder revolvers, the presentation cases and accessories. Everything is "brand new" condition - never loaded or fired.

If you have any interest in these, please contact me at [email protected].

Uberti 1847 Walker .44 cal, MONSTROUS black powder revolver!

You should see it in person, Uncle Lee. It is almost impossibly massive. Very impressive piece!

Wish I didn't need to sell it.

In my day I was the owner of 5 Walkers.

And, I hope, a forklift to move the stack....

TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Love that mini dragoon - price?
I have the minister and it is a beast!

Uncle_Lee

These three were Uberti. I had two made by Armi San Marco that I shot a lot.
This was my "Lonesome Dove" Gus set.

This was my "Jose Wales" set.

Yep.

Gus might've been paying attention to Lorie "Darlin"....but not Miss Kitty. I still think Diane Lane was really great in that role!

Every time Dish asks Gus for a couple of dollars, I ask my wife for a couple of dollars and she hits me on the shoulder.
That is the only movie that I can watch over and over and over and over (see you even got tired of it) without going to bed or going to the kitchen or somewhere else.

After 37 years of marriage I feel like Lippy. Ain't enough money in the world....................

Ya, I like the Lorie "Darlin" character.

On about the fifth hour of "Lord of the Rings" she starts moving.

I recently acquired a Armi San Paulo (ASP).44 Navy revolver.  From research I'm guessing early 70's production, and it was a kit kit that was not finished but yet assembled with the parts still rough cast/milled.  It was abused (quick draw dry firing and fanning the hammer, and twirling with multiple drops onto hard floor) and possibly fired once or twice.  I've spent a couple afternoons cleaning, sanding, polishing, and working on the timing.  It's starting to come together.  BUT I'v hit a snag with the missing front sight pin. I know it origionally had a pressure fitted brass pin.  The shallow inlet hole is there.  I have brass rod and tried to file and fit a new pin, but my attempt to soldier it in place has failed.  Is there any reason I cannot drill the hole all the way through into the bore and set the pin the way old shotguns are peened through the barrel?  I would guess black powder pressures would not cause a problem at the muzzle end.  I've found no info on other sites, and most BP revolver guys suggest cutting dovetails and replacing the whole front site configuration (which I do not want to do.)  I'm not too worried about accuracy, only safety.  Any of you smithyies have an opinion?

If you know the shape and height of the front sight pin and have fashioned one you can epoxy it into the hole. Clean both parts with acetone or denatured alcohol (be sure there is no rust or tarnish) use 24 hour cure epoxy and allow it to cure fully. It is stronger than solder so don't worry.

Lots of thread jacking here! Someone please buy the two black powder revolvers in the original post!

Our old minds tend to wander a tad bit.
Threads get "jacked" all the time.
If you must have threads with only one subject, it isn't here.

We don't have, don't need,& don't want forum police.
We have enough regulation in real life. Don't need it here too.

I'm not a forum cop.
I am an old mind.
I am guilty of forum jacking by answering an off topic question.

I just want to see a reach out to the original post offering to buy the BP guns or gun to help a doughnut hole victim!
