Just so Uncle Lee won't be the only one asking for stuff, I had the idea that a 3 inch Earl would look fantastic, blued, with a color case hardened frame and faux loading lever. It would probably put me over the edge, since I'm a sucker for CCH guns. Has anyone ever suggested that before?

Yup a month or so ago , they would be most excellent . They would look better than the stainless version by far . :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Do you remember where that thread is? I'm not seeing it.

Oh no problem. Thanks! I guess we can only hope. I was thinking about my Colt 1862 Pocket Navy and thought the Earl would look cool that way.

The 4" Earl is what got me into NAA minis so bad.
It looked so much like the Remington blackpowder revolver I just had to have a pair of them.

Then a pair of those, then a pair of these, OH YES-two of them.
And the beat goes on and on and on.....

Andy - a three inch Earl looks so good in stainless that I cannot but imagine how nice it would look in CCH and blued.

Yeah, I think it would be special! Stainless is good though. It's really forgiving. Wear and marks can easily be corrected with stainless steel blending pads. CCH can be rather tender, but it sure is beautiful.

I am a sucker for the 3". It is my preferred plinking gun. I would buy one in CCH or blue. Or both. A 3" w/ a CH frame and "loading lever" with the barrel, hammer, trigger and pins in blue, and I would have one, maybe 2!
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

Realizing the CCH and blued guns are carbon steel, the chances of making a run of the Earl is probably very low, as the demand would not likely be enough to support the cost involved to be profitable.

Dang it.

Unfortunate, but I agree. Then if they even did do a limited run and I got one, I'd end up never wanting to use it. I hate that.  LOL!  I feel that way about my Colt New Frontier .22. I had the CCH re-done by the old Color Case Co. (Don Menk) and it turned out so gorgeous, that I never shot it again. Probably kind of dumb, but I can't help it.   ;D
