According to this ad for sale on eBay, it was made in 1984:

I believe so.  I am on the hunt for some .45 Win Mag.

I hope it is not too harsh.  I enjoy shooting my Desert Eagle in .50 AE.

I fear this may be more of a fire breathing beast.

Received in beautiful condition and 40 rounds of factory ammo procured.

KOH, QOH, Snake Eyes and Gambler in pic to complete western motif and give scale.

This handgun is a handful!

TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Beautiful revolver, the little NAA's look like they are getting in position to "suckle from mother" so they'll grow up to be big too.

Have you shot that beast yet? Does she kick like a mule?

NOTL21

I have not.  The gentleman who sold me this specimen had a duplicate that he fired often.

He remarked that the grip shape helped make the gun manageable and thought it was of a higher fit and finish than a comparable Freedom Arms revolver at twice or three times the price.  (He had several of those as well and really enjoyed shooting S&W 500 so he may have just been a masochist!)

Woodchucker

Sounds like he may be! Sheesh 500 s&w is not a "fun" round

I'm not sure of the ballistics for 450 Magnum Express, but 45 Winchester Magnum is at the lower end of the 44 mag range, so should be no problem in a big revolver like that. Many claim the single action frame and grip design are much more recoil friendly than a double action, the gun "rolls" up into the hand. I fired a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull a few months back and was surprised at the level of recoil, it was much less than I expected, admittedly it was a heavy gun, but with the extra power over 44 mag that I'm used to, I was expecting something much more severe. The worst thing, being an indoor range, was the blast and accompanying noise. I didn't find that too pleasant..

Thanks.  Does anyone have any thoughts on whether a couple rounds at the range would negatively impact value?  I know it was fired at NAA before it left the factory.

Shoot the gun, that is what it is made for.  It is a rare piece and will hold its value despite a few rounds through it.  Enjoy the gun fully.
