Robert Duvall was a hitman sent to Argentina for a job. He used a NAA derringer 22lr to kill 3 people.

I just watched this recently and was surprised when I saw the NAA pistol. I was disappointed in the movie. It was OK, but the whole tango thing started to bore me a little.

Didn't he use special bullets for his purposes .

I love it when our members spot NAA Revolvers in any kind of media seen by the general public. It helps to legitimize our small little guns as actual weapons, and helps reduce the snicker factor when someone sees us carrying one. http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/4/47/HF22derringer-2.jpg/601px-HF22derringer-2.jpg

Yea, the movie was boring and seemed too long. I didn't catch if special bullets were used. But all all shots were very close head or heart.

I was thinking he had cyanide in them or something like that, because it looked like he was sealing the tips with wax (I assume). Anyway, the scene depicted him altering the rounds himself.

Quicksilver (aka liquid mercury), a heavy metal . Turns a 22 into a sorta poisonous load with the power of a third of a 410 shotshell load , you just gotta see what it does to a melon , its insane for such a small round , its also pretty much non-retrievable being liquid but being ones insides are scattered everywhere it doesn't much matter . Very illegal by the way , assassin's loads  .

If you think about it, the little revolver makes a fine assignation weapon. Small, can conceal in the palm of a hand, and with a near or actual contact shot, the muzzle blast goes into the wound channel. The revolver leaves no brass behind, and if you push the gun agains the target, it's probably quieter than normal. MUch of the muzzle blast would be absorbed by the clothing of the target.

After, just toss down a sewer or trash can and keep on walking.

I like Robert Duvall as a fine actor (I look for & watch his movies like I used to for John Wayne), I liked the movie (thinking it interesting) - and especially liked the NAA mini touch - which about the only time in watching thousands of movies featuring firearms, that I've seen/noticed an NAA Mini (or any other NAA gun) in the film.

I thought that the tactic of pressing the muzzle into the target's chest for the killshot was smart, as it theoretically helped to somewhat (for a revolver, anyway) muffle the gun's report.

I watched "The Island" last night.
There was a NAA 380 Guardian used in it.
