For those who can't make it out to the range, I'm sorry.
Went today by myself(social distancing). The worlds troubles
disappeared after about 2 seconds. I highly recommend.
Oh Man I wish I could unsee that. :o :-[ :o

update: our local outdoor range is closed for two weeks starting today

our local outdoor range is open... the other one across the street, an indoor range, was mobbed on Sunday by nearly a hundred first-time buyers... i didn't even bother going in...

Got out to the range

Bigbird48

Some of the best times shooting and what got me heart really beating was SASS Cowboy Action Shooting. Talk about fun and being out shooting with a great bunch of guys. If you haven't tried it its really something to look into for a fun weekend of shooting.Unfortunately I can't do it anymore :-[ health issues make it impposible for me do it it now days. Was great when I could do it.

smokeless joe

Sounds like you had a good time WG. The range that I spend most of my time at is currently closed until May 1st. Hopefully it will reopen as scheduled.

Here's some footage of my friend Josh and I at the range recently with the S&W 500 and CZ Shadow 2.

Was that S&W a pistol or a flame thrower?

Rattlehead that's some real fine shooting , WOW . Just like you do for a living shooting .Excellent placement . ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Thanks man! I could actually tighten those groups up significantly if I slowed down a bit. The Shadow also makes me look like a much better shot than I really am. lol

hey folks... well, all our local ranges are up and running... the wife unit left for her salon appt after breakfast, so i snuck off to the range across the street for a little quiet time with my FrankenRuger and LCP II 22... hope everyone is doing well:

Ain't it great Linux shooting those extra rounds of 22 . Knowing that gun is a man killer and being silent (almost) kinda melts ones heart , doesn't it . Myself I'll never ever give up my Rugers (the quiet one holds a special spot) the others for that fact .
Wumbey , everyone should have your backyard setup . Kudos to you .

:(I went up to my favorite spot to shoot Saturday and the Local Sheriff was there telling people to leave as theres a ban on shooting right now :( I guess with the fire danger on high its a good idea. Ben Avery is open but its reservations only for now. So guess I'll be home making knife cases for now ;)

hey folks - 'round these parts we're back onto regular ops at the ranges (with the exception of wearing a mask at the indoor range)... found a really nice threaded barrel for my Browning Hi-Power - an Alpha Wolf satin stainless... it was a drop-in, no smithing required on my FN model (dunno about other makers)...

put on my Odessa-9 and had some fun w/S&B FMJ... hope everyone is safe and healthy!

While at the rage the other week I was walking out to the hundred yd targets with the shooter to replace mine. The guy next to me was shooting some black rifle in 6.5 Creedmore. He was very proud of his group; which was about 2.5" in diameter, about 7.30 2" off  the whole 12" target. I said nice group, but in a firefight you missed. He did not find that amusing...Just think a scoped up 6.5 misses, while peep sights in 22 mag lever action, had a much larger group all in the target. Some how though, my target had a 30 cal hole in it too. Not his 6.5 but a .30 cal hole.

Kinda reminds me of the old story of the guy who brought into a gun store his "like new" deer gun that he wanted to trade.   When asked why, he siad that it wouldn't shoot to where he aimed, had shot at four deer, and hadn't touched one of them.   When asked if he had checked the zero on his scope, replied, "I don't have to do that, they do that at the factory."

did a nice walk in a local park, then went across the street to get Rugerized... 100 Rem Gold range chiclets, zero failures... really glad i bought two of these and 10 mags early this year:

Great Little gun I have an SR22 which I really like, tad bigger then the LCP but a ball to shoot. :)

Boisesteve

I also had a .22LR day at the range today with a buddy (that's him with his CZ).
A reactive gong for pistol at 12yds, 12ga hulls placed on the target stands at 25 and 50yds, a spinner at 75 and an old kitchen pan hanging at 100yds. BIG FUN!!  My favorite is the empty 12ga hulls, not too hard at 25yds, a challenge for me at 50yds. Shot and told lies for 2 1/2 hrs, finally got cold, then out for lunch. Finest kind of day!
Be well all, Steve in Boise

I've got the .380 version of the lcp and I love it. No issues at all.

What's that white stuff all over?

I believe that is called Baby Powder. Used to keep the bottoms of little babies dry and smelling nice while they are still in diapers.  ::)

Must be a lot of babies in Idaho

Boisesteve

Yep, lots of babies IN BOISE, not the rest of the state. They've elected a liberal demtard mayor.
Spouse and I think we may have one more move left in us, to a less citified part of Idaho.  Effem.
