I have S&W .22a  I think its a 5" Bbl. at the Gun Smith's shop getting the barrel threaded for a suppressor

  Theres just something about large bodied semi-auto 22's , never had one that didn't shoot like a dream . Happy assembly and shooting Wumbey . Simple fun shooting , now find many more mags for it ..   I did want to say some of these mags are interchangable from other guns maybe just a little adjusting once in awhile , nothing drastlc ,good luck .

The S&W 22A's are awesome guns! They aren't for pocket carry, for sure, but I like them. I've had two of them, but unfortunately sold them both. One was the Talo special, which was an AWESOME gun, but the laser-engraved grip proved to be too thick for my hand.

My brother really like the other one I had, so he's enjoying it now. I kept back 3 magazines in the anticipation of getting another one, but haven't yet.

Keep it! If you love shooting .22's, this one will (maybe?) be on your list of favorites!

Be prepared to pay a premium for those mag's 

Any semi-auto I own that gets a fair share of "Range Time" I buy extra mags for mine when I find them (S&W .22a)

The last ones I bought for it were $32 each at a gun show (OEM S&W Mags...about 2 years ago)

YIKES! I'm glad I kept back a few mags. The guy I sold the Talo to wanted to know why I was keeping back 3 mags of the 5 I had--well he wasn't willing to pay for them, so they don't just come with the gun for free! Duh. Hehe.

Wonder when I'll ever be able to find another one for sale....
