This is a "Special Request" from the owner (Pat) of Copper Star Indoor Shooting Range in Camp Verde AZ
https://copperstarisr.com

They have carried our line of Holsters for 7 or 8 years

Pat has bugged asked me for some time to make something like this for his EDC. It's been a few years since I've made him a Holster so I thought I'd see what I could come up with.

The Holster is for a Sig P-226 w/rail and the knife sheath/pouch it for a Case Trapper.  I thought the Avenger Style Holster would work best for locating the knife to make sure there is no interference with the gun.

A Pancake Style Holster wouldn't work as well. To make the knife sit so there was no impediment with use of the gun, the Holster would become very wide on your side. The Avenger keeps the footprint a normal size. The sheath sits inboard so there is no chance of impact with the muzzle when drawn.

The sheath/pouch is attached with screws so other sheaths/pouches can be made for other knives or tools (Leatherman, Gerber?) several can be made and changed out as needed.

This will not work for everybody and is not something I normally make but, I thought it was interesting and wanted to share.

Questions, Comments, Constructive Criticism are always welcome!  Thanks for looking!

Not for me, but your friend will probably love it.  A very fine idea from a talented craftsman.  Congratulations on a job well done.

Very innovative. I like the idea of being able to change sheaths to fit other knives/tools without interfering with the holster.

That is a great idea Rick , if I was to have you make one for myself I'd have that sheath made for a Old Timer 4 inch straight blade skinner with the grip of the knife protruding 3/4 of the length out of the sheath but even with the hammer on the gun .
One of these days Rick you'll hook me good .Ha ,Ha . So far I'm showing pretty good restraint only because I'm broke at this time and saving for a four inch Ranger , which you'll be making a holster for anyways ........ This dam administration is killing our bottoms lines not that any previous ones were much better . What a pitiful waste of taxpayer monies ever in history paying these government salaries . Sorry off on a tangent .  8) 8)

Thanks Postalman! Being able to change the sheath was the good part of having it removable.

No, I did not drop that 10lb head on my foot...

Yes I do know a little bit about that axe. I found it in my grandmothers basement in Phila, when she moved from the house, she had lived in the whole time I was growing up. When I brought it Home my mom said "I see you found Queen Anne". That is the name she and her sisters, all of them from an English background, had named it...I later learned it was a Hewing Axe, for shaping large timbers. Being in Philadelphia I and several others assume, it was from the ship building trades on the Philadelphia waterfront. It was dated by a curator at the Maritime museum  to be from the mid to late 1800s due to its casting of the steel and the straight handle.  Apparently, it is all original. The shape is a Pennsylvania style, and while they were used to shape ship timbers, they were also used to shape large timbers for many uses, including barn building.

Thank you and very cool!  Having some history on an older piece makes it all the more special!  Long Live Queen Anne! lol!
