I am a new guy from Alaska here......been lurking for some time. Last Saturday I bought a 22 mag with a 1 5/8 barrel. The 22 LR cylinder came with it.

Went out today with a friend to fire it. It did fine with the 22 LR. When I shot the 22 mag the cylinder pin would work it's way out every 2 or 3 shots. Then the hammer wouldn't come back till I pushed the pin in. I was using CCI 22WMR HP 40 grains. Put 40 rounds of 22 mag and about the same of 22 LR through it.

From all the research I did, these guns are high quality and reliable. Is it possible I did something wrong.....or maybe have got a bum gun???

   Any help would be appreciated.

Wheeldog - welcome to the forum. It sounds like your cylinder pin may be defective.

I suggest calling NAA tomorrow and explaining the problem. I think that they will

send you another pin at no cost. I have seem where a few others had the same

problem, and I think NAA is quick to help.

Wheeldog-

   First, Welcome to the forum!

I may be wrong, and if I am, I am confident someone will provide corrected info, but some of the mag revolvers had a problem with the pin not holding. If you will call Jessica at 800-821-5783, explain the problem to her, several things will happen:

   A) Your problem will go away

   B) You will get to talk to one of the nicest customer service managers in any industry

   C) You will have first hand experience with the best customer service team in any industry

You could also send her an email at  [email protected] and get the same end results, but you just will not hear how kind and sweet she is.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

"If you need one and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again"

Welcome Dog,

Probably is a defective pin, I suspect the LR ammo does not have enough recoil, and the pin stay's put. Then when you use the mag ammo, the extra recoil kicks it out.

Do as Grey says. Call Naa You will get excellent service!

Thanks for the welcome and the info!!!!

I tried taking it back to the store I bought it from.......even though the receipt said "all gun sales FINAL". They took it back and I paid the difference and got a Wasp.

I am sure NAA would of taken care of me, but I didn't want to wait for the new part. So I didn't have the pleasure of talking to Jessica.;-)

Needless to say, my hat is off to Sportsman's Warehouse!!!! They did me right!!!
