Could this old concept be somehow considered in future development for NAA's?
I'm sure with today's technology it could be redefined into a functional good self defense firearm in rimfire calibers.
I can see it in  Case hardened with rosewood grips , a  black matt finish and a high luster polished  stainless steel.

You may not need it but should have it.

Anvil,
Sounds interesting.

I forget who made it,but in the early 60s there was a four shot "pepperbox" type derringer made in 22 long rifle.

I was thinking of getting one back then but chose a High Standard 22 lr derringer instead.

There was a few makers of the four barrel 22 one was Sharps , some others are also recently produced also . Shapes also made a 32 rimfire four barrel along with others . I'll post pictures later . I believe the 22 version only had a !/4 turn , I'd have to look again . :)  :)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Making a gun with multiple rifled barrels is more difficult and expensive than making one with a single rifled barrel and a rotating cylinder.

Uncle_Lee

How about a 6 shot cylinder without a barrel???

My Grandma (her 21st birthday portrait in 1898) was partial to this Sharps 30 caliber 4 barrel.
The lead miners in SE Missouri didn't trifle with her...

Armybrat,

Heres a few more 22 cal.  The middle one is just about 98% , it is a beautiful example of the era piece . Don't tell the wife but it costed a pretty penny but it was made for me ,ha . Heck the interior of the barrel is still blued mostly through and through , grips haven't been touched  either amazing I think . A little wear on the outside barrel someone playing quick draw probably . The other are just fine clean bores but lacking finishes again seems not to been shot much due to the firing pins looking almost new and guns are tight .

Always nice to keep a good supply on hand.

Seems if you sell one, that is the one that you wish you did not sell.

I have 19 firearms and way more than 1000 rounds of ammo. Is that considered an arsenal today?

I consider that "a start."

A minimum of 1000 rounds per caliber and at least five calibers is a start depending on the size of caliber .One doesn't need that many for 45-70 or 45-120 all others nice to have plenty . ;)  ;)
