I reckon I'm a shooter and collector but this one is way beyond my budget.
Beautiful however.
I'm  partial to the 22 short because it was the first I ever got to shoot back on the farm in the 50's. I think I was 7 years old.
Grandpa set up tin cans on the fence for me at 3 yeds and first time I hit 5 out of 5 with his Stevens single shot. I was hooked after that!

I sure would like to find those awesome black grips if they are not the ones that break in two so easily
In my opinion black trumps wood for looks.

Anvil,
Super nice looking 22 short NAA!

That Stevens rifle.was it a Crack Shot??

I have one that I fancied up a bit with a tang receiver sight and sling.

Also had a leather scabbard made for it.

No TD, it was a bolt action (I think a 1904) but I still have my first rifle, the 72 Crackshot.

Back in the '60's Gramps bought two John Deere tractors. As a premium the dealer gave him 2 Remington rifles...a bolt action 22 single shot and a pump action 30-06. Funny thing the '06 came with a factory mounted receiver sight..I think a Lyman. I shot a lot of rabbits on the farm using 22 shorts. Most hunts were ruined by my grandmother's geese that for some reason felt it was thire mission in life to follow me. Ever see how a goose kills a snake? It jumps in the air fluttering it's wings making a racket and distracts the snake then lands on its head to smother/ crush it. People don't believe me and say I'm nuts but they obviously never had geese as uninvited hunting partner's.

TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

My daughter owns a business that prints custom t-shirts, novelties like bags, hats and a variety of other items and recently purchased a computerized metal engraving machine. I asked her about engraving guns and she said she was limited to things like metal name plates, coffee cups and other novelties. She said gun engraving is a totally different art and skill.
So I wonder, what if the artist engraves an old Navy Colt and messes up?
If my daughter makes a mistake and mispells "grandpa" on something she can just throw it away and start over.
But what do you do with a precious firearm engraving slipup gone wrong? :-[
Don't say it doesn't happen!

Anvil,
I dread to think what would happen to any item that was goofed up by faulty engraving.
