Front sight modification on an NAA 22LR ?

When aiming my NAA 22LR (5 to 7 yards), the hammer in the cocked position blocks view of the hammer slot, thus blocks the view of the top of the barrel, so I must line up the top of the hammer with the front sight about 20% of the way up from the base of the sight.  With a 1-1/8" barrel length, there isn't any room for error.

Have any of you gents made modifications to the front sight to help with this?

This isn't a problem on my 22 Magnum Wasp where I can clearly see the base of the pin-sight lined up with the top of the barrel.

Thanks in advance.

OLD and GRUMPY

Main problem is that the front sight is just way too big. It blocks the target. This has been talked about allot. Use the search. Lots of pics.

I did mine on a bench stone slow and easy.Helps allot.
