Ankle Holster for 22 Magnum

Dear People,

I'm not sure how to say this.

I am completely disappointed with the ankle holster I purchased from you for my 22 Magnum.  When I need to pull the Magnum from the holster I have to take my boot off.  Then take the holster off.  Then I can remove the Magnum from the holster.

With the design of having the pocket for the pistol on the inside of the holster, the holster compresses around the pistol molding the holster around the pistol, forming a seal around the pistol, which will not allow the pistol to be removed, until the holster is loosened and the pocket allowed to relax and open.  Even then the pistol snags on the upper part of the holster pocket when being removed.

This makes your ankle holster useless.

If the pocket for the pistol were on the outside surface of the holster, where it is not forced to compress around the pistol, the holster would not mold itself around the pistol and maybe then it would be a usable holster.

I will not recommend or re-order this particular holster from you.

Plus, your contact email of  [email protected] is not a valid email address.

Sincerely,

William Anderson

First, welcome to the forum!

I do not mean to imply your lack of knowledge, but do you have a right handed holster? If so, are you wearing it on the inside of the left leg? A lot of people do not realize this is how it is designed to be worn. As to the boots, I know a lot of LEOs who wear boots and a Glock model 26 on their ankle.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

If this is the holster you have, it is designed to be worn on the inside of the left leg (for a right handed person).

All I can do is laugh. ;D people buy stuff and have no idea what they bought or how to use it , then they go trash the company and product. I see it all the time in the reviews of products. Half the time they give a bad review because it was their fault the product broke or didn't work.As is probably the case here.  ::) ??? :o

Put the gun in your pocket.

If you have the ankle holster so tight that you can't pull the gun out, you must be cutting off the blood flow to your foot. I have carried one in the ankle holster for years. I also wear boots bur it's not to hard to figure out that the boot top might just be in the way. Cut that boot top off, and lube the snap a bit, and you will be good to go.

Are you shoving the gun clear down into the holster almost out of sight, or leaving the grip stick out the top so you can get a hold of it?  It is a holster. I

Boone it sounds like he's putting it on the wrong leg  with the gun on the inside and wrapping around the outside of the gun. Like hes putting it on backwards. least thats what it sounds like to me.

Sorry to hijack the thread, had to reply to this....

Outside!! At least in my neck of the woods. I know others will argue.  ::)

I made myself a pair of "Dove Wing" Spur straps, No buckle, just adjustment holes. They drop right over my boot.  I used Harness Leather because it is so durable and tough.

These are some custom spurs I treated myself to a couple years ago. I also had a pair made for my grand daughter by the same maker.

I think he is shoving the gun down into the holster out of sight, as in all the way. Whatever  he is doing, it's wrong.

Yep! Rick; outside it is, at least for me when I was Riding. But as you know, some strap the buckle to the inside.
My custom Spurs and straps now belong to my Son.
