Want percent do they charge?  Wanted to sell my PPK

Uncle_Lee

What kind of a PPK (Interarms? S&W? German?).

   How much?

   What shape?

   Pictues?

You dangled a hook in the water without any bait.

45flint:  It is a sliding scale with about 5% or so for the first few hundred dollars and getting less as the sale price goes up.  On a large sale like the Rangers, it works out to a final of just under 5%.

Here is the fee schedule for the sale price.  You can list your gun free, or add options that cost.  when I listed the Ranger, I chose a couple of options and the listing fee was about $4.

   From GunBroker site:

A Final Value Fee is assessed if your item is sold. The Final Value Fee is assessed when the listing closes and is based on the price that the item is sold for. If the item is not sold (reserve not met or no bids were placed) there is no Final Value Fee. You can use our Final Value Fee Calculator to find out the fees associated with your item.

Here is how you calculate your Final Value Fee:

Take the first $25 of your final value and multiply it by 5%. If your item sold for $25 or less this is your Final Value Fee.

If your final value was more than $25, take the additional amount between $25.01 and $1,000 and multiply it by 2.5%.

If your final value was more than $1,000, take the additional amount above $1000 and multiple it by 1.25%.

Add up these amounts and that is your Final Value Fee.

For example, a $1500 item would cost:

   $25 times 5% = $1.25

   $975 times 2.5% = $24.38

   $500 times 1.25% = $6.25

   Total = $31.88

   A $500 item would cost:

   $25 times 5% = $1.25

   $475 times 2.5% = $11.88

   Total = $13.13

Uncle Lee,  It is a PPKS. .German made imported by Interarms.   They were importing German made,  I think this is early 70's.    Excellent shape a little bluing lost on the edges.  If interested I can send you pictures and a price.   [email protected].   Steve

I paid about $50 for a $3425 sale, plus about $27 for listing (I added pictures, featuring, etc--probably too much, but was trying to get it visible to max my sell price.)

louiethelump

For Chopprs:

Call it 5% and you will be happy when it is slightly less than that.

   Better?

(divide by 20 to get 5% for WH and Chopprs)

Is the Ranger a dead and buried design. They could not make money at 500.00.They were gone before I learned of them. Is the design flaw the reason they dropped it?

"I was one of the people who purchased NAA's break action Ranger model only to discover that the design milled away so much material supporting the bottom of the forcing cone that it split on the first shot. Since that was a design issue rather than an issue with materials I requested a refund and NAS quickly sent me a check in gentlemanly fashion. Now it looks like they have introduced a new design that strengthens that area and addresses those old issues. Given my excellent experience with their customer service department, I Will definitely be getting a sidewinder as a Naa looks to have fully redeemed itself with this one.

   Capt. Dave"

Is the Sidewinder the latest nod to all of us looking for faster reloading. Thanks

louiethelump

May I ask where that quite is from?

It was very noble of that fellow to take a full refund for his gun.  I sold mine for $3200 on Gunbroker.

that is why I was wondering where he got the quote.  I have never even heard of that before.  I am guessing it is a sour grapes story from someone who could not get one...........

Or, possibly a flaw in that specific gun.......

   Just guessing

This seems to be the source of the quote. It is the first comment on the

article. First time I ever read of the problem.
