ORANGE THREAD would be GREAT!  I would even say to use ORANGE AND BLUE, my college colors, on my 22 Short holster you are making for me.  That would be great!
Thought I'd share this updated product. Looks pretty good.

RangerJim

Welcome, usmcxd!  And congrats on a great purchase!  I bought one not long ago, and am extremely happy with it.  It's built like a tank—definitely able to take magnum loads—and is pretty darn accurate for such a little gun.  Enjoy!   :)
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

kycliff162

Well they are out of stock now...We did get one for my wife. It's on law away...
Guess it will make a nice Valentines day gift.

MR_22

Oh, man! They finally sold all 50 of them, apparently. I think me posting it here helped do that for them. At least some of the members here got in on the deal!

I'm sure it did...You did good..
You sold 2 for sure...

Isee several different descriptions of the bug out. Does anyone have a real measurement of the barrel length?

Mine measures 1.5" inches...
The barrel on the bug out that is... ;)
Yesterday out of stock...Today back in stock...Beats me.

Bigbird48

Bugout Barrel length is 1.5" Not sure where your hearing different

Warthog

Mine is 1.5" as well.

Mine came from a different distributor if that means anything to anyone.

Tomorrow, I will take a picture of mine with a ruler in it so you can see the barrel length for yourselves.

They are 1.5" but that Kygunco add says 2" & so does the Bud's guns add....
I say it's a manufacture misprint.

MtGoat

I am going to send mine in.
My barrel is only 1.5" not 2".
I got a lemon,
;D ;D ;D :o ;D ;D ;D

OK, that means I don't need to do it now.  I think it is a listing error by the seller.  That happens and I know the one I have is a 1.5 inch barrel.

I may be sending mine back. I bought it because it was a 2" barrel. Ugh!!!

MR_22

Well that sucks. It is apparently an error by Kentucky Gun. The official Talo site does not indicate a barrel length: http://www.taloinc.com/north-american-firearms/bug-out-box

Sending it back is problematic. Since you have accepted the gun, you possibly will not be able to just send it back. It has been transferred through your dealer to you, with appropriate paperwork filled out. You can't take a gun back, like at Walmart, once you have accepted it and done all of the paperwork. You have to do that before you accept it.

To send it back, you'll have to pay the shipping, plus probably take a hit on how much it cost them to ship the gun to your dealer, since it was sold with free shipping. So you're going to be out $50 or more to return it, plus whatever transfer fee your local dealer charges to ship it.

Look at it this way: you got an extremely good deal on it, so you'd probably do best by selling it locally. Do you have local classifieds for guns? That's your best bet.

Bigbird48

Why would you not Keep it. Its an awesome gun. ???
Beside you should have refused it at the dealers when it came and you inspected it. Pretty obvious looking at it that its not a 2 " barrel.

Canoeal

I thought it was a 1.5. I like the 2" barrel of the BW, so I thought maybe... But no.

I once took a new gun back to Cabelas from home after I had just purchased it there.  The gun I had when I looked more closely at home was not what I wanted but it was close enough that I didn't notice the difference until after I was at home.  Somehow after talking with the salesman about different options, he gave my the wrong option, some type of communications problem between us.  As I understood the process, the paperwork was done as though Cabelas was buying the gun back from me.  Cabelas has always had good customer service for me.

The funny thing is after a few years have gone by, I now wish I had what was then considered by me to be the wrong gun instead of the one I actually ended up with.  I guess in a similar situation I should just buy both of them.

Just curious, for those of you who have one of the Bug Out 22's, I was just told by NAA that it is the Magnum size frame.
Were you aware?

Secondly, do you think the 1/2" difference in that revolver and the 2" Black Widow is really noticeable ballistically speaking?

Thanks in advance for your time and reflections!

KG only copied and pasted from the manufacturer's site. I personally spoke with NAA today and brought this barrel length discrepancy (1.5" - not 2") to their attention and they were shocked. She went and pulled one and measured it and said, "Oh wow,... (long hesitation) we need to correct that in our product descriptions."  :-\

MR_22

In stock now, but back to $264. Congrats to those who  got the discounted price!

For the record, NAA list the 15/8" as Stingers 800 (all numbers rounded) velocitor 760 fps. Out of the BW stingers 1000fps and velocitors 900 fps. No listing even on NAA for 1.5." There you go.
