Good Deal, if I wasn't strapped for cash I would get another one myself!

So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

You're right, Warty.  I looked around ... and this is a really good deal!
Thanks for the heads-up, naa_collector!  Hopefully, some of us will take advantage of this great offer.

Wow, these are still on sale. I didn't expect them to last this long. They are also for sale in their brick-and-mortar store. I got one because of the sights and the unique-looking cylinder pin. I'll probably swap off the grip. I didn't like the black one on my Pug.

MR_22

My Bug Out Box from Kentucky Gun was shipped today. It'll probably be here by Friday or Saturday. Looks like I'll be getting a Bug Out NAA before I get my Rangers. That works for me. :D :D :D

cedarview kid

Wow, these are still in stock at $229. Mine should arrive at my local dealer on Monday. :)

RangerJim

Yeah, I really can't believe how cheap these are.  What, did they fall off the back of a truck?!!   ;)

As mentioned below, I bought mine only hours before I saw this message.  I had been looking for about a week, and found the absolute cheapest one on GunBroker.  I bought it.  Unfortunately, it was still about $50 more.  I'm happy for anyone who can take advantage of this offer.

I have done a few Pancake Style for them and have 1 order for a pocket holster.  No Cross-Draw requests yet.

I will build some of a types if nothing else, at least for pictures to put on the website.

I really want to order some orange thread, I really think that would look cool!!!

Rick Jorgenson

Warthog

ORANGE THREAD would be GREAT!  I would even say to use ORANGE AND BLUE, my college colors, on my 22 Short holster you are making for me.  That would be great!

Cool, Rick. Thanks. That's awesome work!

Thank you for that tip! I "owe you one" for that!

I almost pulled the trigger on one a week ago when I saw a shop that had them for about $15 or $20 under the original price.  This one pushed me over the edge!

Its strange how this "limited edition" stuff pricing goes in stages.....

First, they sell like crazy.

Second, sales taper off, dealers have some left but the price remains steady.

Third, they knock a few bucks off and some go out the door.

Fourth, (only if they don't sell out) deep discount price to push the few remaining hold outs to buy!

Fifth, Time passes and some interest starts to grow with people wanting one but the dealers are sold out.

Thats when the prices start going up. Depending on the wants and desires of those that want one vs those of us that have one, determines how high the price goes up.

We are a strange creature......lol!!!!

I'm surprised these Bug outs have not sold out..
Only 1500 made, Is that correct?

cedarview kid

That's so true, Rick. You nailed the lifetime of a limited edition NAA. Haha, funny. Anyway, glad to help!

I was totally shocked they didn't sell all 50 on Black Friday. Crazy that even today, they are still available. I just went to Kentucky Gun just now using that link, put one into my cart, and then increased the number in my cart to 31 before it stopped allowing me to add more. So apparently they haven't even sold 20 of them yet. I find that unbelievable.  Oh well, I got mine. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow and I pick it up on Tuesday.

OK, now I'm concerned. My Bug Out Box was supposed to be delivered on Monday the 4th, but there has been no activity on the tracking number since Saturday December 2nd. No joy on the Rangers, no joy on the Bug Out. :( No Joy to My World.

Warthog

Bummer Mr_22, that really stinks.  It is the holiday season and the mail people don't scan things as they should trying to hurry along.  I would say call the Post Office but they no longer have human operators, last time I tried it was hours before I was finally able to get a human on the phone.  Then the human was as stupid ans the machines and couldn't answer my questions.

Hope the gun gets to you soon Mr 22, really.  It would be a shame to just get your money back but not see the gun.  I hope they insured the mail or you won't even get the  money.

Last year ordered a drop in trigger from L.A.  Took it 9 days to get to San Francisco, another day to Oakland, 3 days later into my hands,  Went in to local office after a week of waiting, but all they could do was put the number into the computer, and get the same message I did, "In Transit" to Illinois,  No one could come up with a reason for 9 days to SF from LA.

MR_22

Thanks, guys. I'm not worried yet, just concerned. I mean, it *IS* December, after all--and just after Cyber-Monday and Cyber-Week. Everybody's is expecting a package form USPS, I'm sure. But the longer a firearm is in the system, I think the greater chance it has of disappearing.

I was hoping the Bug Out would tide me over for the Rangers, but I guess not. More than likely, my dealer will call out of the blue and say it's arrived, with no action on the tracking number--just like we talked about a week or two about. just like I said last week--USPS is very reliable, except for when it isn't.

Ah well. Here I wait.

RangerJim

Just out of curiosity, have you called KentuckyGun?  They should be all over this for you.  After all, they are shipping a firearm ...  :o

No, I haven't. It's only 2 days late, which, given that it's USPS, is not terribly unusual--although I think handguns are supposed to be sent via Priority Mail.

I once had a Priority Mail package from Hawaii to Utah that took almost a whole month to get to me. I think it got on a boat instead of plane, LOL. I was sure it was lost, but lo and behold, it finally arrived on my doorstep and was in good shape. By then, I had already made a lost-product claim with eBay, which I had to cancel. The seller was not happy with me, because the claim tied up his funds.

I'm not anxious yet. If I don't see action by Friday, then maybe I'll call them.

I picked mine up today..It's pretty neat...& they had bricks of Aguila  for 19.99...Happy Man

Awesome, congrats! I'm still waiting for mine. Still no activity on the tracking number. It's been a week for Priority Mail. That's way too long. Wonder if somebody in the system stole it. Great.

I would make two calls one to Kentucky Gun and the other to the USPS.  It should have been shipped OVERNIGHT being a handgun.  That is the Federal Law.  Kentucky Gun could be in heavy do-do if they did not ship overnight.  I personally would be checking.
A gun is like a parachute; if you need it and don't have it, you probably won't need it again.

Actually, most handguns are shipped from dealer to dealer using USPS Priority Mail. I've read the regulations myself and I'm not saying you are wrong, but I'm telling you what done in practice. I know that "Everybody's doing it!" isn't a good excuse, but... everybody's doing it!

Yeah, I'm going to make some calls, for sure. I think they're probably closed already tonight in Kentucky, though.

MR_22

Actually, though, I've had a hard time finding out if shipping handguns via USPS is illegal or simply against regulations. With FedEx, it's not illegal, but they have made the decision to only allow next-day air shipments because too many guns were being stolen in transit.

If anybody can show that shipping handguns via USPS Priority mail is illegal, I would really like to see that.

Warthog

Shipping a handgun by the USPS is LEAGAL by FFL holders ONLY.  No FFL, then either UPS or FedEx is the only way to be legal.

Remember that back in 67, I shipped via post office a Winchester Model 70 home (bought in the PX) with no trouble.   At that time the box had to be labeled as having a firearm in it.  Later they wanted all reference to a firearm removed from the box, because they were having major problems with employees in one sorting facility, that had pre-addressed shipping labels in the pocket, ready to slap on a firearm box, and send it to a friend.

My FFL says that it is legal for him to ship or receive from an FFL via Priority Mail, and he receives them from his distributors that way.

Yeah, all my dealers use USPS Priority Mail for shipping guns. I had to ship a gun back to the manufacturer and they provided a pre-printed FedEx label.
