I recently noticed that the NAA custom has Novak and XS sights available for my Guardian 380. Has anyone had either of these sets installed an their Guardian? If so, was it worth the cost? I was thinking about getting the XS sights installed, but I would appreciate any insights that people may have.

The costs are detailed on the website if you look under Guardian Custom Shop, I was looking there the other day, considering it for mine. My eyesight isn't as good at close range as it was and those little sights are now hard to see.

Yep, well worth the price. Turns this already nice pistol into a fabulous shooting one. The sights are fast on target and very accurate. They also make the gun look wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.  ;D

Actually very inexpensive when one considers NAA is cutting dovetails into the slide as well as the cost of these somewhat pricey sights.

Which sights are thosr Rogue? the XS or Novak? Are the Novak Tritium sights enough better than the XS ones to justify the price?

I was mulling over the idea of doing this, if the XS sights are good enough, now I have my Remington RM380 I could manage without the Guardian for a while, while it's being done. Living only a few miles from the factory, I presume I could just drop it off too.

If one looks at the rear sight they can tell the difference. The Novaks are super big and reach to the back of the slide. Mine are XS all the way.

Quite the opposite. In my opinion the XS sights are ten times better than the Novaks; especially for the duty this type of gun is made for. Super fast and still accurate. The Novaks cannot compete with the speed at which the XS sights get on target. I have them on just about every carry gun I own.

The reason they cost more is simply for the name. XS does not make one pay quite so handsomely for their name. They let their product do the talking.

Being cheap by nature, I'm very glad to hear the much cheaper option is the best :) Thanks for the information, much appreciated.

Thanks for the input! Sounds like the Xs sights are the way to go.

Any thoughts on the large or small front dot version of the sights?

On a pistol I always prefer the big dot; except for the Pug because it is so small the big dot would be too large. I was not sure which way to go on the Guardian before sending it in so I compared the Pug sight along side my other big dot carry sights and decided that the Guardian is more than big enough to take full advantage of the big dot version. I thought the standard dot version too small for fast sight placement on the Guardian.

Tested at the range and in hand my decision was proven correct. Guardian -----------> Big Dot XS night sight was the way to go. Remember these sights are based upon African Big/Dangerous Game Sights from the past. They are designed to line up fast and the bullet goes where the big front sight is placed when the "i" is dotted. Bigger front sight ---------------> faster target coverage.

PS: a good way to determine in my opinion is to look at the gun you are contemplating putting the XS sights on. If the standard size XS appears to be about the same size as a regular 3 dot front sight it is too small and the big dot version is what is needed. Big dot catches the shooters eye.

Thanks, I was guessing the big dot would be the way to go as speed of target acquisition beats extreme accuracy for the Guardian.

If I drop my Guardian off today, do you think it will hold up the Ranger II production :)

I hope so; with all the commotion going on I am being the Devil's Advocate and pushing for February delivery dates.  ;D

PS: the turn around on mine was 2 weeks. Sights installed, front slide serrations cut and cleaned and polished up back to new as they usually do.

If that actually happened and people knew I was responsible, can you imagine the backlash on the forum? Perhaps I should wait until February otherwise I'll be sleeping with one eye open and glad I went with the night sights :)
