It would depend on the distance, and is it from a dead stop? I haven't seen the link yet, and I'll guess the super bike. I'd think it would have the fastest initial acceleration.

EDIT: Hey, I was right!  I thought the F1 car would be second, though......

400 meteres so a quarter mile drag race...Yep, I picked the bike too.

Would depend on the type of race, distance involved, what kind of corners if any and whether or not a rolling start or from a stand still.

Rolling start ------------------> hands down the fighter jet.

Road course and from a standing start ----------> The MotoGP Bike if the corners are wide and sweeping and the straights not too long. Otherwise the F1 car.

Drag race that is not too long ------------> MotoGP bike all the way. Long enough ------------> F1 car; it will speed up and outrun the bike on top end.

Yep, I was correct. It was close though; 400 meters is much longer than a quarter mile. It is almost a mile and that plays hard into the F1 cars wheel house.  ;D

1609 meters to a mile. https://www.asknumbers.com/miles-to-meters.aspx

Unless I missed something, 1/4 of 1600 is 400, so a quarter of a mile. It was on the runway. So a straight quarter mile , Just like Atco or any other drag strip.

I stand corrected, I do not know what I was using in my calculations but it definitely was not my brain. Haha  :-[

That makes it even closer between the bike and F1 car. Of course .................. they did not really use a Super Bike. They used a production "super" street bike. Not the same thing. Put a MotoGp Superbike against that F1 car on a quarter mile and I bet the bike would have won by just a tad more.  8)

Yeah, I saw that too; but the bike was still my choice in the quarter...not for a half...

Choosing the bike to win shows you guys have kept up with the drag racing better than I.  I did some drag racing back in the 50s, just amateur to be sure.  Had a bored out 47 Harley.  Did not know bikes had got that fast.  I owned over 40 street bikes from Oct of 1951 till Oct 2017.  Went out on my last bike ride, came home, realized my balance and reflexes were no longer there.  I had gone down in bike size from Gold Wings and Harleys t my last 750 Honda.

My 2006 CBR1000RR doesn't compare to the superbike in the video, nor are my riding skills even in the same universe as the rider in the video. She's 12 years old (hard to believe) but she makes 172.0 bhp @ 11,250 rpm, with a wet weight of 445 pounds. It's speed limited to 185 mph. I have had it to 185 mph once - and I don't really feel the need to do it again.  :)

Here she is (once a moderator approves the pic):
