I've never seen one in any gun shop.

You rarely see any NAA pistols in the gun shops around here.  I've only seen a NAA .22 short in one shop while up in Nashville.

I had never seen one in a shop either. I got mine off gallery of guns using the gun genie. Before posting I looked as to post a helpful link. There was not one available at this time. I've only shot mine a few times, I got it just to add to my mini collection. I'll throw up a couple of pics because we do like the visual stimulation. Good luck on your search.

It would only let me post one pic. So here's the other one.

Besides the Minis?

The Beretta 950 Minx was .22 Short, and Astra Cubs were made in it. I think H&R and some of the cheap European revolvers like Rohm had .22 Short only revolvers. A few Derringers were .22 Short, I think. The Olympic pistols were .22 Short, until they switched to air guns in 2004. There were several .22 Short only rifles, but I'm not really up on them.

Most everything out there is going to be older, though the Minx was made from the Fifties until 2003. Short only guns are out there, just not a lot of them in LGSs, more on websites like Gun Broker.

Nice pics.  8)

I'm thinking of getting one myself here soon.

I like plinking with pocket sized handguns, but the .32's and .380's get expensive to shoot. And I've got several.22 Lr handguns.

The little 22 short would have to be fun .

IDK Texduk3, I have not had any trouble getting what i want to shoot mine.  Now I also admit I now have a full case, some 5000 rounds of it, got that during the After Christmas Sale online. ;)

I think NAA makes certain runs of 22 short from time to time. They are not on a regular production basis.

Now as for the 22 short ammo, the only ones that I have seen are the Remington brand. Not too hard to come by.

I did a penetration test with my 22 short. The round cleanly penetrated at steel soup can (both sides) at about 5 feet distance.

It seems to have a bit more power than I had thought.

After a quick check CCI makes at least four flavors of 22 Short (Short, Short HP, CB short and Target short) and Winchester as well Aquila and Remington all make 22 short.
Most if not all appear to be currently available.

The .22 short will penetrate a damned sight more than a soup can!

Uncle Lee,
Does that mean that you put a 22 short in your coffee to sweeten it???

In all honesty though, they are just so darn cute!!!! The photo of a short next to a quarter says it all.

I love shooting 22 short. I do not have a short but I enjoy running them through the 22LR's. It is a very fun round in my opinion.

Indeed!  I run them through my 22LR's too, though I have a couple of 22 short calibered handguns too, through my little rifles it is a lot of fun.

I know that around here, I can find them anytime in Academy Sports or my LGS but I usually buy in bulk at SGammo.
