Greetings:

Well, I am going to purchase my first revolver and I decided on the NAA Mini-Master with the 4" barrel.  I plan to test it on a new range I have assembled on my property with filled plastic water bottles.  I want to see what the penetration power is with 22LR.

Cheers.  Astrosaint 8)

Well, I got the Mini-Magnum with the interchangeable cylinders and the 4" barrel.  At an indoor range, I practiced the safety notch position as will as removing the cylinder.  I got off 30 rounds.  It was a very different experience from pistol guns ! I am happy with the purchase.  My wallet is also happy since .22LR is less costly than .380 for target practice. 8)  Astrosaint

Astro,
Welcome to the forum. You made a very fine choice for your first mini.  May I suggest that in the near future you have NAA fit it with a magnum cylinder??  That way it would make it more versatile.

I should warn you though, minis tend to "multiply". Now you have one and before long then another.................

Many thanks for the kind words !

I have fired other pistols and 22LR target pistols.  The revolver was unique and it may be my favorite.  It is the one gun I have that seems to make people stop and actually want to SEE it in action !  I was surprised with the audience.  That firearm appearance may actually help to build NAA sales given the curiosity it was causing.  Even a man from the 357 mag crowd stopped at my lane to see what kind of firearm I was using.  It was a very interesting firearm practice session.

The mini-Magnum I have has both 22LR and 22 Magnum cylinders.  I have been using the 22LR because that is what I had on hand.  Astrosaint

Welcome Astrosaint

Glad you joined us here. I have a few NAA mini revolvers and like all of them. But the 4" Earl is my favorite to take out and shoot.

If I come across a 4" mini master around here. I'll be adding it to my collection.

You picked a great gun to start with! The Mini Master is a favorite of mine to shoot!

Post photos when you can. The group loves photos!

Congrats and Welcome to NAA!

I will have to agree that the Mini Master is a great shooter. Rick let me try his out and it did not fail to impress.

Of course I'm kind of partial to it as I have a Black Widow and love it.  There is just more to love on the Mini Master!

If you decide to carry it, there is no better way that in Desert Gun Leather!

Thanks you all for the kind words.  Since I am still on probation, I do not have the option to upload pictures at this time.  However, that will change when I get enough posts up.

I had the option of buying a used Black Widow at the local pawn shop but the cylinder would not engage onto the safety. If I got it, it would have needed to be sent in for repair because I had no issues with the 4 inch barrel version I did purchase.

The firearm is a simple device to clean.  I have been test a variety of ammo types and found the Easter European types to be a bit sooty.  Cleaning out the carbon black is a relaxing task for me to do after a day at the range.

Those who choose to carry this revolver should use the 22 Magnum rounds since they seem to tear up 3D targets like water bottle very harshly.  I hope to never be in such a situation but if it happens, the ammo has to serve you well.

I use Gold Dots as the ammo of choice for my BW. It expands consistently out of that gun. In my 4" Charter Arms, I use hornady FTX (1) and Gold Dots (2) the longer barrel does help the FTX to perform in MHO.

Astrosaint - congrats on a great first revolver! I do not have a Mini Master myself, but I do have a Black Widow, which is pretty much the same gun except for barrel length.

I like Gold Dots for the magnum cylinder, and CCI Velocitors for the LR cylinder. For a quieter plinking session, CCI CB Shorts out of the LR cylinder are fun.

I was looking to the Earl or the Hogleg. They are very attractive 5 shooters.

The magnum has around 150 shots in it--mostly 22LR.  Lovely gun.  Inexpensive to use.

The 3" Earl is my favorite plinking mini. It seems to balance just right. Overall, it is one of those guns that just works great for me. And, to my eyes, its great styling is elegant.

Very nice photo, Uncle Lee. Just seeing those makes me want to visit my gun shop!

I agree with Grayelky that the 3" Earl is a real good plinker. I do not have the 4" or 6" models, but the 3" is quite accurate. And as Gray says, very elegant too.

OV-1D

Unc you sure know how to show us up those are simply beautiful . Wonderful picture thanks . :)
