Saw these on the aim surplus site yesterday. The select grade ones looked to be in great condition so I ordered one. Since the Guardian had to go back to Provo this week I'll have a reason to shoot up more 32 ammo before it returns. Aim still has standard grade 81s in stock if anyone's interested. I wonder which country they came from.

If they truly match the decription, that's a good buy.

Looks like they are everything that AIM said they are, and more. The one I got appears to have never been fired. Barrel still has perfect bluing throughout, and there's only a few small scratches from being shipped in bulk. The owner, where I had it shipped to, said it's probably been locked up in an armory since new (1978? from the serial number).  Range time next week.

I'm jealous. Fine looking Beretta.
Thanks for the pictures.

How is the trigger pull in double and single action? I was thinking about getting one for my wife but she has very weak hand strength. Thanks

The pull weight in double action is 9-1/2 pounds, and single action is a very crisp 4. Also, the recoil spring isn't too strong, so if the hammer is cocked before racking the slide, I believe someone with weak hands would have no problem with the 81. I just saw that Gander has the updated 81BB available at a better price and free shipping. If I recall, the BB has more safety options, better sights, more slide serrations, and serrations on the grip's front & back-strap.

These things are everywhere. I got mine from Classic Firearms. It's a hand select in very good condition. I wish I would have heard about the select grade from Aim before I purchased mine but I'm OK with the one I got.

MIne came from Classic Firearms - I'm satisfied especially considering the price.

I would love to own one, also the Zastavia sa 32 but i already have so many guns.  For example i have a cz 82 in makarov and a cz 83 in 380.

I just couldn't use all the guns i own now, let alone more guns.

Same here , they keep trying to invent a better mouse trap to no avail . This is why I started collecting mini's to break up the boredom of all other manufacturers .
