Something tells me the Gun Fairy may be making the rounds in Arizona

I thought, "What the heck" let's put a little bait out and see what shows

The Fairy seems to like alcohol so a little 805 Cerveza might help

Well, I put a 9mm and a .22lr out with the beer so.... maybe something in those calibers?

But, I'll take whatever the Gun Fairy is toting in their carpetbag arsenal!

But... If it's a High Point I will be kicking some Gun Fairy butt!

Rick! You must place spent casings or hulls for the Gun Fairy! Quick, change that up so you get on her good side.  8)

The Gun Fairy came through again!

A new .22 Ruger Wrangler!  I've needed one of those for some time. We've been building Holsters for them for a couple of months and I've borrowed a friend's gun to mold the Holsters too.

The market for a Holster for this model didn't get busy until the price of the gun went up!  :o  It was difficult to sell a $100 Holster for a $125 gun! lol!!  But now that they are $190 and more...... the $100 Holster is more palatable.   ;)

I've been looking at full-size 9mm handguns.  My "Brief Case Carry" has been a S&W Shield 9mm it fits well for the bag but I want a 9mm with a little more barrel length as well to add to the collection. A Sig would be my first choice. The H&K's are nice too.

If you ever need a "business bag" that will hold a laptop, all your paperwork, and a gun, I've carried this for 5 years and it shows no signs of wear! Next to the handle is a pocket closed with magnets. Slide your hand between the magnets and you are on your gun. Quick and easy to get a full grip on your gun before it comes out of the bag.

I carry "Full Size" guns when I'm at the shop in the evening. I tell people they are a "back up gun" for whatever NAA I have on me! lol!!

My Local Gun Shop buddy just got 20 of the Gen 5 G-17's in stock so he made a "smoking deal" for me  ;D and we did some Horse Trading.

The Ruger will just be a Dummy Gun in the shop but I'll take it to the Range one day soon and give "Range Report" Ruger Revolvers are always a "solid shooter" so I don't think it will be anything other than positive.

The first Wranglers I handled had very sharp edges especially the Loading Gate. They have fixed those issues, the gun is much smoother.

The Gun Fairy came through. Both items were on my list (but most guns are!)  ;)

Thanks for looking!

We have the "Southwest" Gun Fairy. The SW Fairy TAKES the casings, obviously to go shooting. lol!!

I'm not sure if the SW Fairy reloads or not...  ;) lol!!

I've had a Wrangler for a while now. It's a good shooter you'll like it. I want to see the leather you wrap it in ;)

I guess I've been doing it wrong all this time. I put bullets of several calibers under my pillow but all I get is a headache and a sore neck! 🤒😖

Looks like the gun fairy hooked you up pretty good Rick. I might have to try that 🤔

Boisesteve

A gunsmith I know near Boise has one of those early Wranglers. The loading gate spring was so stiff and the gate metal so sharp that it cut my finger! Admittedly I have old man skin, but still....
Glad to hear they've fixed that problem.

Well hope the Ferry enjoyed that 805!

Congrats on the new shop molds.  I don't have a wrangler yet but having two Singles Sixes kind of calms that itch...
Everyone needs at least 2 Glocks!  The G17 is a great starting point.

Give us a range report on both once you stop by Ben Avery Shooting Center.

My 9 1/2" Ruger could use some clothing... Hate to carry it naked out into the world.

The Bisley model  happens to be one of just 200 that Ruger built. Funny I bought it not working as a parts only gun and it only needed a Cylinder pivot pin to get it operating again.  Ruger warranty is almost as good as NAA.  Had a pin in three days.  Guess It needs new threads also.

Hope all is well in Maricopa County. Ya'll sure have been in the news a lot lately.  Glad to see you are getting Monsoon rain this year. Last years NONsoon sure hurt AZ.

I'm kind of excited to shoot it!  I have plenty of .22lr that I'll try and a bunch of .22 short   ;D

We have been doing some "plain" Holsters but I have a trick or two that will "jazz them up" a little.
I'll post a couple in a few days  ;)

Now you know... be specific in caliber and offer alcohol!  Your Fairy is the "Southwest Fairy" as well so, she is a little "rough around the edges" as Fairy's go... when I put chips and salsa out with José Cuervo Tequila with .223 shells that's when the AR-15 showed up!

You need to get to know your Gun Fairy and its likes and dislikes and their weakness. Rouges is quite sophisticated... ours in the Southwest, not so much.  ;)

That was my first experience as well. It felt like a "cheap gun". Now, not so much. It feels like any other Ruger Revolver of .22 caliber just a little lighter weight. I'm pretty impressed with it now for a $200 gun it is a good value and the kids/grandkids won't shoot up all your .22 Magnum or other high dollar ammo!  ;)  That gun will pay for itself quickly in just a range trip or two!

The Gun Fairy is a drunkard and obviously hangs out with people of questionable character!  ;)

This will be my third Glock. My first was a "police turn in" Gen #1  Model 17 it always shot fine but as the generations progressed I sold it before it became "unwantable" being a Gen 1 and I had a G-30 I hated shooting it so I sold it too!

This one I think is a "keeper" it has upgrades and options that can be added.  First will be some trigger work by a Gunsmith that worked for Robar and a couple of other tricks he does to glocks.

I think you need a trailer to carry that 9 1/2" Revolver! lol!! But, depending on when and what you use it for a chest rig or cross draw would be the easiest to draw from.

And yes! It has been nice to get some rain in the desert!

We need to talk soon, it sounds like you have some guns that need leather!  :)

If I'm lucky I'll have this in my possession tomorrow. There's a backstory to this that I'll get into once I've got it in my hands.

Hope you get it Joe . I couldn't part with mine , they are beautiful designs . . :)
