I love my Pug but if I should buy today I think I would have to choose one of these for ease of reloading and concealability. Finding one is the challenge!

you may not need it but you should have it

Anvil I would go with the top break if I was you the sidewinder ,in my opinion isn't a finished model due to the loading of cartridges . The sidewinder needs a better angle to insert cartridges directly and properly . Simple fix for that problem but my idea falls on closed ears , shame because it would be a stellar mini if the fix was used .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

i agree i would go with the top break ranger for what you are looking for

I'd pick the Ranger II, 'cause I just like it.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

All good advice from the experts! The ranger II wins! The sidewinder has been sidelined.  ::)
I think I will get the NAA-22M-R250 if I can ever find one available.

I heard you.
Followed your lead.
Opens all the way now.
I only did it to the one that I was carrying at that time. The rest are original. Some never had the cylinder opened.

Dang Unc_Lee you just gotta show it . I myself have not done it because I have only one but I'm going to buy another just to show NAA how much better the gun will be . Shame it wasn't thought about before they put the gun on the market , easy fix with simple tools . NAA needs to step up to the plate and fix all these sidewinders to load properly . Not very smart to let the gun go out as it was when a little filing and such could make a finer weapon ...

I know I read it before but I can't find it now.  What is the optimum mod/fix for the Sidewinder?

I think I found it.  Is this the best thread on the sidewinder mod?   I don't know how to make that thread title clickable.

Extractor Issue on Sidewinder Magnum Cylinder

I couldn't remember what the problem was. Thanks for the link.

You may find it interesting that my neighbor and good friend bought a sidewinder a month or so ago and has no such issue. Maybe they fixed the problem without mentioning it or creating version 2.0. In the software world we called this slipstreaming an update.

I'd bet that NAA would fix the problem on the older sidewinders if you send it in.

With my mod the whole cylinder and crane pivot slightly out and points away from the frame for easier and quicker loading . If NAA would send me the frame and cylinder/crane/screw assembly I'd would send it back for them to examine and make them all more useful . One thing that doesn't have anything to do with this mod is I wish they would crown ALL their weapons , some come in slightly but most are not crowned at all . Most definitely changes the protectory of the bullet . Sure it doesn't matter much for the short belly styles but any barrel over three inches in barrel length it matters for longer shots .  It would be nice to know you bought a gun the best it can be because as we know they ain't cheap throw away guns . Want the most for my monies by golly . Freedom Arms had the right idea when making their mini's all crowns well done ,no sharp edges , cleaner interiors molds for changing grips (one grip fits all without tinkering) , non showing places on NAA's guns are not finished out leaving sharp crude edges , unbuffed areas . They use to be very good on these matters but have fallen behind on quality . Its the little stuff that matters these days to separate the men from the boys so to say . Going back to the basics in business one must do the best thats possible it never hurt anybody , sometimes we all get to skipping over things we didn't do before . Just my two and a half cents worth .

You know I really want to acquire a long barreled top break with both cylinders but for lets say rounding it off to $ 700.00 buckaroos I want that gun , seeing the size of it, to be 110 % in quality . I just can't justify buying a gun for that price then having it gone over again by a FFL. to work out the discrepancies to my liking . So not at this time will I buy anymore NAA's (newer ones ,I'll buy used if they are right on) till those issues are addressed . Quality is a built in human instinct thats hard to come by these days seems no one cares ,shame on us .
