Hello everyone! Glad to be in the group! A few days ago I won this older NAA .22 LR off of a local auction. It was a basket case sadly. But for the price I took a gamble on it and won. I got it all assembled but it?s missing a index pin? a trigger spring and the LR HAND AFT sadly. So I?m going to call NAA Tomorrow for repair work. I?m excited to get this little thing going. These guns are very well made and I?ll enjoy carrying it. I?m not sure on its age but with a V serial # it?s an older one for sure.

OLD and GRUMPY

Welcome. Good find.  Some of the parts you can buy from NAA. Some they don't sell. They have to put them in. As messed up as it is I would just send it in and have them go over it all.

Welcome Melli25,
I would suggest you send it NAA for them to repair it.
I don't think the cost would be too great and you would have the satisfaction of knowing you had a piece you could trust.
That is not a real old one because it has the safety slots between the chambers.
Welcome to the asylum.

Good deal...we have not had the best luck buying firearms at estate auctions, hope you got a low bid to win...and once you get your little rocket running, practice often, smiling all the way...

Welcome Melli and Rex T your in the right forum none other can compare . Pictures are something we all live by on here so don't be shy when able , doesn't really matter what the pictures are of but guns are always a favorite of course .  ;) ;) ;) ;)

If you look around the website, you'll find a parts list, exploded view, owner's manual, accessories, etc. Not real easy to navigate, but it's all there. I printed all of it that pertains to my Guardians; comes in useful sometimes. I don't own a mini yet.
Not to mention our illustrious member/holster maker extraordinaire Rick Jorgenson, whose posts and photos are scattered through this forum.

bearcatter... I'm glad you're willing to state "I don't own a mini yet" that is exciting! (I think maybe a "first")

Be aware, you are going to have tons of peer pressure on you to pick a Mini! lol!!  ;)

BTW. Thank you for the glowing introduction! "our illustrious member/holster maker extraordinaire Rick Jorgenson" I am flattered  :)

Welcome Melli25!  Do consider sending that in to NAA for a "once over".  I bought a "Basket Case" 1 1/8"lr  at auction and sent it in for repair, NAA called me and said it could not be repaired.  Then asked if it was OK if they sent me a new one to replace it! Heck yes! All for the cost of shipping ($13.00)

Here is a shameless plug for Holsters for the .22lr  Have you decided on how you intend to carry it? Ask around, everyone has a favorite style and method to carry. One thing we are not short of here... Opinions! lol!!

Welcome again! Thanks for looking!

I've mentioned before that I don't own a mini (and my "arsenal" is listed below my posts); I don't remember ever being picked on about it. I'm still waiting for a .22 Guardian!  Maybe a mini, eventually....

So far as the introduction, you deserve every word. Every member knows that.

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, that loosened your belt at least one hole....(and everyone else did, too)... ;D

Why would we pick on a well mannered, knowledgeable, American gun owner?
Well he/she wouldn't have to be American as long as he/she had all the other qualities.

OMG!!!!!
Beautiful, beautiful (good smelling [I bet]) holsters.
Wonderful colors of that leather.
Best tasting coffee in a while.
Thank You !!!

Thank you very much. And it was a great day with the family.

"Peer Pressure" is only "softly" encouraging you to take the plunge on a Mini Revolver!

I'd never pick on someone about buying a gun. I gently "encourage" it  ;)

I believe you are in the upper 5% of people with knowledge and statistics about the NAA Guardian and their functioning! I learn from from you and others that have that kind of info!

You cannot pick on someone that is smarter than you  :)  When it comes to guns I assume everyone has more knowledge than I do!

So.... What do you think about a Pug?  ;) Pretty little thing and easy to conceal!  :)   (Sorry I had to do that!)

i have had 32 acp guardian since they first came out in a group buy at work. I was happy with it. Then someone at work had to show me his mini revolver. i resisted for a few years but finally broke down in 2003 and thought i'll buy one of those.  Now I have 6. If you give in, all hope is lost.

I'm OCD about knowing everything I can find about something I'm interested in. Especially before I spend money! I went through 30 pages of Google hits about Guardians. More pages about the competition, the calibers, ballistics, etc..

If I were to get a mini, I'm pretty basic, probably the 1 5/8" LR with the wood grips. The Ranger would be in the running if I could get it LR only. $130 more for the convertible, no thanks. I'd have no use for the magnum. I have the Guardians for carry, so a mini would probably be just fun.

I don't see that many 1 5/8" lr Mini's available (at least in the used market) and I never see them new in the shops I go into.

You can find the 1 1/8" Lr's all the time! So bearcatter, now we need to find 2! lol! (I don't have one either)  :o

i dont have a dedicated 22lr either, just a short and a magnum convertible and extra long rifle cylinder for a sidewinder and various Rangers 1 and 2's.

We have one of the 1 5/8" Minis.  ;D Was our second Mini. Custom holster too, specially cut to fit in Levi's back pocket.  8)

Rick_Jorgenson

Now it's a mission for me to find a 1 5/8" lr!   ;)

If someone else has one I probably should have one as well... you know... to build Holsters! lol!!

(Dang the peer pressure here!)  ;)

After "fabricobbleing" a 1 5/8" lr dummy and using it for years, now I need the real thing!  ;)

I suppose there are a few more people on the Forum that have one?\_(ツ)_/?    ;)

There seems to be less of those then the 1 1/8" lr  which makes me want one more! lol!  :o

I use the "dummy guns" to mold the Holsters and when they're done I use the actual guns to assure the fit. For the 1 5/8" I still use my 1 1/8" to make sure everything is good but that last 1/2" always worries me  ;) lol!!  See, I need the real gun!

Thanks everyone! I contacted NAA around thanksgiving break and sent her off!! Excited to get this one back. Next Thing I want to get is the foldable grips! Does anyone use them? Or like them!!

Also, got my 1st NAA-22MS. In a matter of fact it is the first revolver in my entire life (Yes, I was a pistols only guy).
This thing is amazing. I did not believe that I would be able to hit anything at 7 yards.from the gun with 1 inch barrel, no regular trigger, and no rear sight. Well, I was wrong. :D

LepriconX

Oops. Totally forgot.

So I got my .22 back yesterday. WOW is all I can say. I figured this thing would be patched up.. honestly it looks like they tossed the old gun and gave me a brand new one. It?s polished. All new internals etc. Best part I only had to pay for shipping. This company goes above and beyond! WOW! I also got the foldable grips on it. Big difference for me. Love it!!

Great service is not a surprise for NAA.
