NAA .17HMR....Why?..

..did they stop making these?
Was the conventional wisdom just that they were kind of a moot point? That the .22WMR was more effective out of a short barrel than the .17HMR?..MY father in law recently purchased a rifle chambered for the .17hmr precisely because he is at least able to get ammo for it...kinda made me wonder if he was on to something there, and if it was worth snagging an naa chambered for it...

Uncle Lee, thanks for the heads up, I might just pull back from getting one of those and just stick to some variant of .22, unless of course I get  a deal that I just can't pass up..

I think that they are mainly for collectors.
Mine are just for collection.

i shoot mine almost 3 times a month. i put about 20 rounds each time. i have the mini master with 4 inch barrel. shoots nice groups at 50 yards... ;D

What is a " nice group"?  Freehand or from a rest? The 17 HMR is amazingly accurate from a rifle and I am wondering how accurate from a pistol.
