New cylinder turnaround time...

Let's say I were to buy a Black Widow in 22LR only and at a later date wanted a 22MAG cylinder ( or vise versa) what is the turnaround time? Also, I know you need to send the gun so it's timed right ect.., do you just pop it in the mail or do you have to use an FFL? Can the other cylinder be fluted?
Also, I've used E-bay some and the Black Widows are on Gunbroker regularly, is it a recommended way to purchase firearms? Of course checking feedback and # of transactions ect, asking any questions and so on. Or, how long for an LGS to order one, or is that a question for my LGS? The NAA site shows none available. Do higher volume dealers get preference on orders? As you can tell I'm getting a little itchy to own one . Thanks folks, John

I like to buy at LGS when they have what I want in stock. If not I have no problem with Gunbroker or several of the online gunshops. The online is usually cheaper and most offer free shipping to your FFL dealer. Most have a search feature for the FFLs near you and some even give the price they charge. Even with paying the FFL $10 to $25 to do the paperwork it is still usually cheaper. Most do not charge you tax on your purchase either as long as you don't live in the same state they are located

They are pretty quick , but I think you can save money my looking for a package deal. I found one pretty fast , Black Widow .22lr / .22mag  $309.00 including  shipping. It will be here Monday. Put your name on all the notify when in stock lists , it will happen pretty fast....

In most states one does not need to go through another dealer to send their firearm to a dealer, hence when sending to NAA one simply uses UPS or Fed Ex. US mail is off limits for handguns unless one has an FFL.

Send your Mini in with appropriate check for parts and return delivery and it will show up at your door requiring signature when work is done. Usually several weeks.

Ups 2 day seems more reliable than their ground price, and far more reasonable than "next day am Saturday delivery." You can buy a new mini for the shipping costs alone.

I sent my Sidewinder back to N.A. to have the 22LR cylinder made for it. They want the gun to machine it for that gun. They charged me $50 plus $25 shipping. If you have more than 1 gun the second one they only charge you $3 shipping because they can ship them together. It only took a couple weeks to get back. I have a 22mag Pug and a BlackWidow I am going to ship back for the 22LR cylinders, I will ship them together to save $22 on the return freight.

Got It from Buds Guns online , put my name on notify list , took less than 2 weeks.

I think Buds is great. If I had a dollar for every gun I have bought from them I'd be a rich man!
