The reintroduction of the Ranger is great news! I agree with 45flint that a LR conversion would be even better news. I am still waiting to see a 2.5" Sidewinder for sale. Possibly (I hope) 2016 could be an expensive NAA year for me if I can get a 2.5" Sidewinder Conversion and a Ranger Conversion.

Can someone tell me how the early bird works?  Does something get posted here or in the soapbox?

I think usually both.  Then you'll call NAA and give them a cc to order whatever you want on the early bird pricing.  They will ship to your LGS as they are produced.

I want one but it has to have a Kalifornia legal barrel length. Special run for the DPRK.

Ask your local gunshop to check Davidsons. I ordered  2 1/2" for the shop today. Don't remember if they had the conversion in stock, had good supply of the magnum.

Thanks, Gray. I will see what my local shop can do.

I just checked and, yes they do have the 2 1/2" SW conversion listed, but it is not in stock. The 2 1/2" mag is in stock. I don't know if they had them and sold out or never had any. The 1" and 4" conversion is in stock. I should have the 2 1/2" in the shop tomorrow.

Did I read somewhere that the Early Bird has a special price for the new item? That would be a nice bonus - but I'm all in on this one anyway! I've never been around for an Early Bird, so don't know how that works exactly.

Pins and needles, man - I'm excited!

If the EB does work out, I will handle the transfer at no charge for those in the area (N. Metro Atlanta).

The factory (and this holds true for all of them) will only sell at MSRP. Something about the contracts they have with the folks who sell their guns. It sorta annoys me, but I do understand. I can buy somewhat cheaper than MSRP (own a gunshop), but, to partake of the EB specials, I pay the list price, or whatever is being charged, just like all forum members do. Shipping typically runs about $10.00 or so.

With the Ranger, it was announced the EB price would be $499.00 - if memory serves, and, if it went into production, the target MSRP would be $449.00. I almost passed on the EB, knowing I could save me a decent amount of money by waiting. Glad I chose to NOT wait. Unfortunately, my 2 sons got left out in the cold....

That makes sense, Greyelky.

I think this is what the retail business calls "Fair Trading".

Gotta take care of their distributors.

Thanks Joe now I'm getting excited  ;D can the EB be ordered direct from NAA or does my LGS have to order it?

whats the barrel length on the ranger?

1 5/8"

heyjoe

you order it on the phone from NAA and give them your information and how you are paying, plus tell them who your FFL will be, then have your ffl fax or email a copy of their FFL to NAA

I have a suspicion that I do not really want to know the answer, but does anyone know the price on the 2 1/2" Sidewinder conversion? I would really love to get a pair of those Sidewinders and make them my standard carry pieces.

Your first born daughter and your first four grandchildren.................

Just kidding.

MSRP is $508.00

I had a pair on order until the Earlybird for the new Ranger II was announced.....
The 2.5" Sidewinder conversions will have to wait until the Ranger II's are in the shoebox.

When did Sandy say the new BT will be out - next year, maybe Spring? Go ahead and get the 2 1/2" SW combo. You 'll have time to save up for the the BT....
