Black Widow hammer lock up

Good afternoon everyone.  I recently had a problem occur with a Black Widow, I removed the cylinder as usual and then replaced it.  When I cocked the hammer (empty cylinder) the hammer locked back and would not release.  I tried moving the cylinder back and forth, but no luck.  I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the possible cause is.  Getting ready to call NAA for a solution.

How old is your Black Widow? What year was it manufactured???

Can you push the hammer forward when you pull the trigger? If so, the mainspring (hammer spring) is broken.

Did you take the cylinder back out and try it?
