Found this one online and couldn't resist... It's a California-made .22LR with a high polish, engraving and genuine elk antler grips. Appears to be unfired. Cylinder does not have grooves for hammer - thinking this is an early model. Can't help smiling when I look at this one!

Here it is with my standard lr with pearl grips:

Nice! Hope you plan on keeping it pristine. Too nice to shoot.

TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

There isn't enough engraved stuff out there.

mouselvr

Very nice!!  Any idea who the engraver might be?

I THINK I got a good deal - Pd 306 +20 transfer fee. I'm happy at that #.

I really don't know who did the engraving. Came out of a pawn shop in California. That's really all I know about it.

I feel like I was lucky to get it.

Paducah Michael - a treasure indeed! Great find.

Thanks for all the kind words, Gents. Being a beginning collector of NAA Minis, I feel particularly fortunate to have found this one at all - much less to find it at a time when I actually had the money to buy it.

My life has been an experiment in "marginal economics". OTOH, I have been blessed in many other ways!

I know what you mean by "marginal economics" Paducah. I've been wanting a LR for some time now but my money tree is feeling the effects of Autumn. That being said, I'm sure if I ran across that one I most likely would find a way to grab it. I'm sure not eating for a couple of weeks wouldn't be that bad.  NICE find!!!!

Rohn

That is a beauty.  Great find and beautiful addition to any collection.

Do you ever plan on selling the gun? Then shoot the dam thing that's what we buy them for. If you bought the gun as an investment for get it, it will never make you rich, sure you might get a few bucks for it someday but not enough to not shoot it and have fun. Many years ago my sister gave me a Ruger 22 revolver Limited edition  and a brick of LR, I asked her what the ammo was for as I would never shoot this gun, it was a collectors gun and should not be shot. She asked me if I was ever gonna sell the gun and I said of course not, she said shoot the dam gun and enjoy it. So thats what I did and I really love shooting that gun, as Love shooting all my guns especially my minis.

I have an engraved LR. The SS is hard enough so as to not make any wear noticeable after 8-10 years of carrying it. You will not damage it by carrying or shooting it.

Now, want a $75.00 profit?

Hi Hardtack -

I found the gun on gunbroker.com auction. Just happened to be a California made mini - didn't say so in description. I could see that the imprint was longer than the normal "Provo, Utah", but couldn't make out exactly what it was. Their photos were blurry.

We'll have to meet for lunch or a Saturday breakfast sometime and show off minis!

Send me a PM and I'll give you my contact info.
