Anyone know why NAA omits a rear sight - even a simple fixed sight - from the standard NNA minis? Amost anything would be a big improvement over nothing.

Welcome there newcomer ........well seeing these mini's are generally made for being belly guns in todays society those are pretty good targets even at a distance . Cost would be a secondary issue . Mini carrying people have visions of grandeur mostly even myself because my Ultra-Lite Kimber 45 drags my pants down , hahaha . :)  :)   :) I do switch back and forth though .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

The older ones did have a raised rear portion that formed a site.

If you alter the front sight it gives you something to look at for the rear sight. I myself don't understand why the put that huge half moon on the end of the barrel. File it down to almost nothing and use the rear notch.

Shoot once a week at golf ball. Start with cans first at 5-7 feet, you'll be amazed at how fast you progress

Sounds great!  Do the golfers get upset?
;D

Small sights to avoid snagging when being drawn from a pocket.
The huge front site and almost no rear sight makes little sense to me, but it gives it the look of snubbies I guess.
I found about 9 different types of sites being offered.  A larger rear sit on a Buntline 2.5" barrel magnum would be nice.

I just had a mental picture of HTW hiding in the bushes on the golf course with a suppressed and shrouded mini.  ;D

That and him trying to skin one. I bet they are fun to shoot though.

The way I golf, HTW would be in much danger in the bushes around the fairway :)

We went fishing for golfers when I was young.  Put a nail in a golf ball and tied it to my fishing pole. We were going to yank the ball while he went for the putt, but I chickened out and started reeling in the ball as he approached it on the green (his ball bounced over mine and off the green). The golfer started chasing it.   I was rather funny.  We ran like hell.

Various NAA sights.

Pretend the front sight is not there and aim down the frame and across the top of the barrel. You will be surprised how accurate you can be using this method.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

+1
Go to the driving range, they all start at the same distance, which is much easier

I also think the front sight on my NAA .22 LR mini is useless, all it does is make another snag point.
I like the filing down method, when I get the nerve up to actually take a file to my Mini Ill give it a shot.....then again I may just pay my local gunsmith/manufacturer/machinist do it for $20 lol

nastruck

My front sight!!!!

theysayimnotme

Look for a Freedom Arms Mini. Mine has a useable groove in the topstrap & the hammer doesn't have the blade that would block the sights. On the other hand a large percentage of them have had the front sight fall off.

JES14352

I've always thought of these guns as last ditch up close and personal... No need for sights at that point , IMO...

Goatpacker

If there is useable sights on them it does not mean that you actually have to use them all the time.

Boom

If one were to want to use the sights at the range, what is the proper sight picture?  I don't remember seeing this anywhere.

Goatpacker

On the factory sights I would not know. I have my sight picture for all sights that I use and prefer to make the gun fit me rather than confuse myself and adapt to the gun. One is top of notch with top of blade centered and POA sitting right on top.
