Trying to make me jealous?

It worked. Even if you weren't trying.

Both are beautiful!

Who did the engraving work? I really like the pattern on the black Talo cylinder.

Jim Downing did the engravings ( www.thegunengraver.com) He comes to Phoenix once a year for the Winter Range Cowboy shoot and I take one of my mini's down to him on the first Monday and hopefully he gets it done By Saturday.

Looking at your avatar; how about some bike photos. The riding season is just about upon us.

Bigbird48

Rogue hey its a gun forum ;) I have plenty of pictures of my bike trips on the delphi biker forums. Season almost upon us LOL well I guess that depends on where you live. I ride year round there is no off season. Even when I lived in NH I rode as much as possible year round, granted there where times when its not possible but after the snow storms were over and they plowed the roads I'd put on my snowmobile suit and ride to work. I avg 15000 a year no matter where I am. I was going to post a picture of me someplace  and as I was searching  thru my photo albums looking at all the place's I've ridden ,it struck me as to how lucky I am to have rode my bike to all these cool places and see the things I've seen.

Not me; I do not care for riding in foul weather. Rain is one thing but snow and ice, around here? No thank you.

This may be a gun forum, but it is not your average every day gun forum. I would be willing to bet that some bike photos in the off topic section would be appreciated by most.

Two seasons in my life, handgunning and motorcycling.  Don't waste much of my life, doing nothing
There is not many days in the year when I don't do one or the other, or both.
They both make me feel free.

I had stopped living and had not realized it, ad become a couch potato, wife thought I had just become lazy. My mom who I see 3-4 times a year, and talk to on the phone was the first to spot it, and was telling my wife that something was wrong with me.

Uncle Lee; I am supposing that is you as a younger man? I believe I was in first grade in 1974 but I do have a 1974 custom Honda Cafe Racer. Have spent a bit of time restoring it but it is running very dependably now and looks pretty sharp.

Why you look so familiar Unc_Lee I couldn't tell ya . Myself I got rid of my Honda in high school and traded it for a 64 VW camper with the pop-up dome back then . After that one I carried the beer and pony kegs with 64 cargo VW van for the two wheel fellas and stayed dry as a bone ,ha ha . But again Unc maybe we, you guys all looked the same back then . Dam I miss those days bad .......wish I could do it all over again , again , again .  ;)

Just out of curiosity Uncle Lee; does that chopper in the first photo have a front brake? I do not see a drum or disc. I see a cable but it appears to be a speedo cable.

Uncle_Lee

Front brake is a "mini-drum". Just enough to put a drag on the front wheel and hold you if you stop on a hill.
The law requires a front brake and this passes. (passed-I don't know about now)
The law also required a front fender. I paid three tickets before I put one on. Paid a bunch of tickets in those days.
I got a lot of my cables from Western Auto. Bicycle gear cables. They worked.

Yes, both pictures are of me.

Front fender on a chopper?  A derby on a donkey comes to mind.  Just me...

RogueTS1

I got you. Cannot see it but I get it. We do not have vehicle inspections here so no worries about such but I do like a beefy front brake on my bikes since they do at least 70% of one's braking. If I can get some decent photos I will post some of our garage's bikes.

Did you take them with a smile Unc ?  Those leathers just wouldn't look the same on a donkey .  ;) ;)

On front brakes, I use mine hard. Saved my butt more than once.  Do most of my stopping using mostly my front brakes. Does speed up front tire wear.

Bigbird48

Boy you guys really know how to highjack a thread, I put a picture of my Engraved Mini and you turn it into a biker thread even after I voiced my opinion on it way back stating it was a gun forum not a biker forum, Think I'll go post gun picture on the biker forum waste my time here.

Kentucky Kevin

Beautiful guns, I think we all have a bit of discharge tool envy. Out of curiosity, how much was invested on those? I had three cowboy guns scratched up in early 200? for $400 each, the Ruger revolvers look O.K., while the A.D.C. Derringer with the same cost on a smaller surface turned out great. I tried to post a picture recently, that was a link to click instead of a post. Uncle Lee told me how to post years ago, but that was pre surgery, and I did not remember. The picture was on an old laptop that died, here is the link from this forum.
