I LOVE that grip on your Pug.  Is that a Thingmeister?  Do you know how they compare to the CVangs in terms of size and thickness?  I really like my CVangs because they are so narrow, but your picture has me seriously considering a Thingmeister for my next purchase. 
So, making guns illegal will take them off the street?
Perfect!  We should probably make heroine and meth illegal, too!

They are almost identical in size of cvang. I have both. I like that thingmeister has many more choices of woods and stains. They are about 10 bucks more but worth it to me.

I saw the pics you posted and noticed the wear on the grip. That's why I sent back my wooden cvangs and got plastic. I have not noticed any wear on my thingmeister grips and I carry them daily.

Actually, that wasn't wear ...  I just got those grips about a month ago, and that's the way I got them.  It must be the way the grain looked when they cut the wood.  At first, I considered sending them back, but then realized that they were somewhat unique—and kinda' beautiful.  So, I'm keeping them.   :D

Back when CVang made non-composite grips, I had him send mine unfinished. Sanded and finished them myself. Now, I haven't carried this particular set of grips, I imagine that several coats of finish will stall wear. And can easily be reapplied  as needed.

Don't know why CVang ceased making solid wood grips. Maybe warping, maybe ease of production.
Thingmiester makes solid wood grips that are more appealing to me, being solid wood,but I haven't bought any yet.

Ivory juma looks like an interesting material for grips.
