Nice rig Ken.  It looks like you and Rick put a lot of thought in it.  My nephew who works as a LEO for one of the 3-letter federal agencies, bought a Governor for the fun of it, but it became his "go to" off-duty traveling gun.  It rides in a holster velcroed under his steering column.  Nice photos too.

That's quite a wheel gun and a beautiful holster to go with it.

Thanks for the comments.  I took it over to Rick said I wanted a holster with some drop, not a high ride pancake.  Easy access if I have  a jacket on and told him the color.  I wanted the ammo slide and he said he had a few ideas.   Turns out he had some great ideas.  Love the way he hid the snaps with the detail on the bottom of the slide.

The most amazing thing is this thing is accurate.  I expected bad groups with 45LC in the 410 chambers but it actually holds a nice group.  Now when you rip off 6 rounds of the 410 defensive ammo it will tear out the center of the target!  I would hate to be a DR in the ER trying to fix a guy who made a bad decision on who to car jack...

OK one more to post, Gun was given to me.  But come to find out it is of historical interest.
This is the gun that started the Brady Bill.  Like one used on President Reagan and Mr Brady.
No quick reload as you have to unscrew the center pin to swing the cylinder to reload.  No ejector must use the pin.
Sound familiar?
Amazing he got off all 6 rounds as the action is pure crap. I am truly afraid to shoot it.

Is that the actual revolver he used, or the same model he used?  Either way, it's really interesting.  What make and model is it?  Caliber?  He sure wreaked havoc with it, eh?

I ran into a kid I went to high school with one day.  I knew he was Secret Service, and asked him if he was on duty that day.  He told me he was scheduled to be on that detail, but he had to take sick leave because of a dental appointment.  He was a few blocks away getting drilled the same time as President Reagan was.  You have to admire Reagan.  Even after that incident, Reagan never wavered on his support for our beloved 2nd Amendment.

Me too.  Big time!  Remember when the wheeled him into the operating room to patch him up, he looked at the surgeon, and with a smile said "I hope you're a Republican."

It is a Rohm RG14. It is not the actual one that shot Reagan.  I think that one is in the Reagan Museum or a copy of it.  Original might still be in evidence files...

I was surprised when I was looking it up to see who made it and the WIKI Pedia shows it also was the pistol that the DC Court of Appeals made their ruling on manufactures are not responsible for the use of their guns.

The RG14 is not that bad. A friend of mine (RIP) had three or four of them, and sold me one. He loved them, and I liked mine pretty well. They all shot fine, especially for a $40 revolver. If you think the RG14 is bad, you should take a look at the RG10: the poster gun for the GCA 1968.

Love that one in the middle Warty. That grip looks comfortable.

It is Joe, very comfortable, it is a Hogue Hardwood....

A Convertible Bug Out Joe?  I plan on sending mine in for the Mag Cylinder before a whole lot longer.

Back in the '80s I had a 2-3/4" Security Six like that one. The Six series are some of my favorite revolvers.

Nice Ken!  Three very nice Rugers!  8)

OV1D, they are nice grips, gotten from Ebay, they feel great and are nice to shoot too.  They yellow and age like Ivory too, much better than the polymer stuff.

Warty and Ken thanks for the eye candy to wake up to. Very nice prices. Warty did the guy on eBay sell grips for the mini. I bought some off eBay and really like them as well. Just wondering if it's the same guy.

Warthog

No, they don't make Mini grips Joe.  The grips are made from Ivory fragments that are pressed together until they stick then shpaed by them to fit, Rugers and Colts mostly HTM.

ok, i know I haven't posted to this thread for a bit but I have one for today....

Here is my new FOUR inch EAA 357 magnum.....

Here are both of my EAA 357 magnums, a 4 inch and my previously owned 2 inch...

I took the new four inch out to the country to fire a few rounds, (safely) out the car window since I can't go to the range until my feet.... I wanted to know it worked well, it does and I blew the snot outta a few dirt clods so it aims well too.  Loaded with Gold Dot Short barrel 357 mags will make for a nice new bed stand revolver.  Yeah the reduced flash for the shorte barrel might not be needed but I don't have those with full blast so these will do for now... 8)

Very nice German made revolvers for a low price, mine cost me $300 new and the 2 inch was only $275 last year so they are nice revolvers for a very affordable price.
I have one of these EAA 4in 357/38 revolvers, got it in April of this year
how is the lettering on yours "appear"  white?

It is a shame that ivory was(is) taken the way it is because it does feel so good in the hand . Ivory has a feel of its own but the Mammoth ivory feels just as good and theres plenty of that out there just the near pure white is very hard to find its already yellowed some .

Texduk3, I have a grease pencil that I color the engraved area with s they show up better in pix.  Just something I do and the grease pencil doesn't come out with cleaning solvents either.  Brownell's sells the pencils and before they set they can be wiped off easily, after drying it only comes off easily with Mineral Oil but it is still easy to remove if you don't care for it.

I thought the EAA snubbie was nice enough and inexpensive enough to get the 4" Windicator as well. 8)
