This isn't mine, but it was one exactly like this that started my love for minis  :o

Yes it was. I had it a few years and grew tired of the double stack.
Just time for a change. And the 9mm barrel was unfired ::)

Like a lot of folks, it sucks getting old. Old injuries came back to haunt me. I just got back from medical leave from shoulder and muscle surgery,  and opened a table at a gun show. I sold off most my ipsic and idea reloading supplies (powder, bullets, and primers) and a few guns I no longer had interest in to pay medical bills. But Sunday no one was buying so I swapped a dealer out of this new single 7. I traded a used RAI 22TCM, and a few boxes of loaded shells straight across. I was trying to sell the TCM  anyways so I got something I always wanted and could not afford at the moment anyways.   So it was a good day. ;D

I always felt the single six size ruger fit my hand well, but with 6 rounds of 22 or 22 mag it was always overkill. The single 7 is the same frame with 7 .327 mag holes. It ballances well. The only thing missing from this specimen is a lowered bisley style gunslinger hammer. :) ;)

It is the Lipseys 2017 edition. 3 3/4 barrel , birds head grip.
It reminds me of the short sheriffs models ruger used to make. I have eyed this one 3 different  times, this time it followed me home. 8)

Do the 22 mag speed loaders work with the new ranger2?

2 things that come to mind over the years of owning minis.
First even with oversize grips, are they tight fitting on the frame? My black widows sometimes needed paper shims in the grip to tighten them up.
The other issues I had were the sights themselves, they simply did not stay put. Set screws, locktite, they still shifted in the dovetail. The only cure I found was in the 2000 series locktite,(they use 2000 series on space shuttle reentry tiles), if you use that route they are not removable.
Most of my accurate naa shooting is related to the exact same grip pressures on the grip. That's my challenge. Don't give up on them, nothing comes close as far as portable, if you can master them.

Just my opinions ;D

NAA Products / Ranger 2 still great

Took my ranger 2 out and fired another 50rds. I am moving it to edc now. It has been flawless. It appears to like plated brass more, hornady, and gold dots. Flawless extraction with them. 8)

Grips are from the NAA store links at top of forum. Oversize rosewood I think, we call them secret service grips 8)

Right front pocket.  Bug outs are most used. But in the new order ??? ???
1. Ranger 2
2. Bug out
3. Black widow
The ranger 2 has taken over my black widow

Ok I picked up a 2400+ Serial number ranger 2. Fit and finish are flawless.
The little grips are horrid, so I swapped them out set of Cvang (minor fitting) Function fire with hornady 45 gr. Was flawless. I am impressed. Good job NAA ;D

I sent an email to naa service Sunday evening with a gun not working correctly. By Monday I received an email saying a replacement part was in the mail.      Thanks Sue.     Three thumbs up to exceptional customer service. 😁

Looks perfect. My favorite Naa by a long shot is the bug out.  Grey thread on black is on my wish list. ;)

Good video, thanks for sharing. I loved the close ups, made me feel I was seeing a gem. ;D

Was that the shot aligned with the barrel the one that blew, or the next one in rotation?  Remember anything that strikes a rim can set the round off. That's strange. :-\

After work this evening I went and did some late season scouting ,want to do some late archery deer hunting. Took along my trusty bug out loaded with Winchester short HPs.  20 yards quartering away. ;D ;D

Yes my sidewinder has similar problems, every 10 rounds or so the front of the crane pops open. The worst sticking ammo for sidewinder has been Winchester.  I haven't contacted naa yet but just took it out of edc  rotation.
So far the bug out has been my best mini.

Add in that the new ranger2 uses wire edm extensively.  Those machines start at 180k, add in programmers and the start up costs with designers and engineering,  and it is obvious that our little guns will change for the better.
Our wire edm machines regularly holds .0002 tolerances.

Yes but one is the mag snakeshot, then the LR with stingers. I found mag snakeshot to be more effective.

I think in the larger picture they will succeed.  Naa has listened to it customer base. They read the forum, and respond in a timely manner. When the Ranger 2 is debugged it will be what the sidewinder should have been a flag ship .  Yes I own a sidewinder, but *** there ugly.  Love my Naa, love there customer service. I hope they have no regrets. I dont ;D

Just checking in, haven't been to the range :-[, That being said my pair of bug outs are always with me. For my purposes this is the mini I always wanted but they never made. Thanks naa and Talo 8)

BW,  anything harassing and eating or harassing farm chickens or stock.mostly raccoons and coyote. At dusk and dark shots are rather close. Head shots with night sights are possible. The cvang  grips improve accuracy to a point to make these guns reliably accurate to 20 yards or so.🤣 it replaces a mod 63 kit gun.
#32
So far the bug out is my hands down favorite. With cci stingers it is formable on farm vermin up to about 40 lbs. ???
#33
I think we will get a shot at the early birds ;D

Ok guys if you look at the bottom of the latch, they are replacement bumper guards. Located on inside of top latch.😁
